PRO AND CON OF ONLINE LEARNING FOR STUDENTS

During this unprecedented time, when people around the globe are finding
themselves homebound for weeks at a time, things have to be done differently. You
may be home by yourself, or quarantined along with your partner or entire family—
either way, study preparations will need an adjustment to allow you to fully focus.
Before the pandemic, it was easy to escape to study at a coffee shop or library (or at
least somewhere silent), but we’re now readjusting to a new normal in which home
studying is the only option. As the world is fighting against the COVID-19 outbreak,
more than 130 countries have now closed schools nationwide, impacting nearly 80%
of students globally. This is unprecedented; the world has never seen this many
children out of school at the same time
Online Learning has many advantages specially for children with learning disabilities
as it is more interactive and includes more visual and auditory learning. Disabled
children face a difficult time in schools as they get treated differently including facing
bullying by peers leading to anxiety. Learning online provides these children the
comfort of being at home along with many other advantages , as outlined below.
Students can easily access many online courses at any time. They can learn many
courses at any time feasible for them. All they need is a computer and an internet
connection and they can easily access multiple online courses. These researchers
are retired educators who train students on writing essays and research papers.

However there are cons about online learning . Like not everyone is equipped with
fast-connecting internet, wifi, or has data plans that support the online learning
environment. Many people live in rural areas where high-speed internet service or
wifi is not available. Data plans and internet plans can be expensive, so people that
are on a strict budget tend to stray away from costly internet and phone data plans.
Sometimes internet connections can be interrupted by bad weather and can cause
problems with your online learning experience. You may even lose your work if there
is a power outage or your internet connection is interrupted. If you have a deadline,
this could be a very bad situation.

The facts are that there are advantages and disadvantages to every type of learning
environment. Students have to analyze both the pros and cons factors which
contribute greatly to making an informed decision about the direction of his/her
career path. Students have to decide, how they are going to accomplish their goals:
online, in the classroom or a combination of both.
However, in some situations the inconvenience of maintaining a consistent school
schedule prohibits potential students from furthering their education. It is also true
that learning is highly dependent on the individual’s motivation to learn. So the
bottom line is that the efforts any student puts into their education that eventually
determines how much he/she will retain and how beneficial the overall experience
was to his/her future career.
