Namaste,

Following are the details of the proposal for “Aryabhatta Museum” visit.

Date: 26th. December 2019


Departure Time: 08:15 am
Arriving back to School: 11:20 am
Time duration: 3:00 hours (Approx.)
Place: Aryabhatta Museum – Race course
Mode of transportation: School bus.
Visit fees: Rs. 5 (Collected from students)

Desired outcomes:

1) Students would experience viewing of solar eclipse in the best possible way.
2) Students would become aware about the basic understanding about the solar
system.
3) Students will get opportunity to view scientific modals and discussion on same is
highly appreciated.
4) Students will get opportunity to explore and widen the scope of learning.

1) Book
2) Pen

Guidelines:

1) Abide by TGES rules and regulations.


2) Follow the plan of the trip to ensure smooth functioning.
3) TGES dress code (Kurta / T - shirt and Jeans) to be followed.

Yes - Yes:

1) Prior talk with contact person for confirmation of date, time, and venue.
2) Transport (Bus) requisition will be given in prior
3) Video related to solar eclipse is shown during advisory time for basic
understanding of the same.
4) Permission for approval and execution of plan is to be taken from unit head.
5) Discussion of plan with team members.
6) Collection of entry fees on time by the advisors of the respective class.
7) Informing shared resources for the cancellation of the slots during the
aforementioned duration.
8) To carry a first – aid box.

No - No:

1) Physical or verbal abusing to students.


2) Unnecessary movements.
3) Any changes in the plan. (Depending upon the situation)
4) Compromise with student’s discipline.

Consequences:

1) Success - Plan more field trips for practical exposure of theoretical concept
studied in classroom.
2) Partial success - Ask for peer and unit head's suggestion(s) for making
appropriate changes in plan.
3) Failure - Find out the cause of failure and make required changes for future
visit(s).

Teacher’s role:

1) To equip students with basic understanding of solar eclipse and solar system.
2) Safety and discipline of students during the visit.
3) Ensure that all the students have got required information through assessment
worksheet. (Limited to the concerned subject teacher).
4) Theoretical and real life application of concepts they studied in class (as much as
possible).
5) Co-ordination and co-operation with other team members.

Student’s role:

1) To obey and follow instructions given by respective teacher.


2) Try to clear all the doubts and get maximum relevant information from the visit.
3) Co-relate science concepts studied in classroom with information gathered from
the visit.
