Reflection:
The topic of the lesson was types of letter and I taught grade six general students. My learning
objectives were to read, comprehend short texts and to identify the types of letter with their
purpose. I started the lesson by implementing a game to assess students' prior knowledge. I
divided them into two teams and asked them to go one by one to write different ways of
communication on the whiteboard in one minute. Then, I explained the types of the letter with
their purpose. However, I believe that I achieved my learning objectives by the end of the
lesson.

Mt strength points were first, implementing the game with students in the pre-stage. It was an
effective strategy to follow because students were engaged actively. They were able to write
different ways of commination and I believe this was because they enjoy learning through
playing. In addition, the worksheet that prepared for them to perform individually allowed me to
check their understanding of the types of the letter. The majority of students were able to
perform the worksheet correctly. Moreover that last summative assessment that I implemented.
Allowed me to ensure achieving my learning objectives. Students need to listen to an audio
record and select the letter types with their purpose. Most of the students were able to do the
activity correctly.

On the other hand, I did some mistakes. Firstly, I did not differentiate the activities according to
students' abilities. The assessments that I applied were more suitable to the low-level students
and they were easy for the high-level students. Furthermore, I did not implement any positive
reinforcement strategies to motivate students to learn. Therefore, in my future lessons, I will
differentiate my activities based on students' abilities. Also, I will apply some reinforcement
strategies to encourage students to learn.
