PICTURE BASED MCQ

Case 1:
A 46 year old male patient, complaints of burning sensation in the mouth while consuming
spicy foods (VAS-6) & pain in the inner side of the cheeks while eating (VAS- 4) since a
year. History revealed that he chews arecanut and tobacco thrice daily since 20 years, which
he places in buccal vestibule bilaterally for 5 minutes and then spits out. He also smokes one
packet of beedi/day since 20 yrs.

Intra-oral inspection revealed a diffuse white patch having cracked mud appearance,
interspersed with erythematous area evident in relation to bilateral buccal mucosa,
commissure and retrocomissural region, which on palpation was tender, non scrappable and
leathery in consistency.
