APJAKTU - Academic - Special meeting of the Academic Council held on 21.04.2020 - Orders issued
on its resolutions - Reg.

Read:-Minutes of the special meeting of the Academic Council held on 21.04.2020 to decide
on the post COVID-19 Lockdown activities of the University.

ORDER

As per the orders of the Vice Chancellor a special meeting of the Academic Council was
held on 21.04.2020 through video conferencing to decide on the post COVID-19 Lockdown
activities of the University. Vide paper cited above the resolutions of the Academic
Council Meeting was minuted.
Sanction has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor to implement the resolution of the
Academic Council Meeting as below.

1. The date of commencement of semester classes will be based on the orders issued
by the Government on relaxation of Lock down in the State.
2. For the final semester students of all Under Graduate and Post Graduate
programmes, there will be twenty contact days and nine days of study leave before
the commencement of examinations. The Project evaluation shall be completed just
after the final semester regular theory examinations and during the valuation of
answer scripts.
3. For lower semester students there will be 30 contact days and 9 days of study leave
before the commencement of examinations.
4. Commencement of classes of final semesters and lower semesters shall be
scheduled separately, if the situation so demands.
5. All the six modules will be included in the examinations.
6. There will be no change in the content/syllabus/number of modules or pattern of
question paper as prescribed in curricula..
7. Implementation details of the above Academic Council decisions shall be worked
out at the University level, after proper discussion with all University officials
concerned.
8. Academic Council shall be convened to review the prevailing situation as and when
required.

Implementation of all the above decisions are subject to the restrictions and relaxations
imposed/declared by the Government or District Administration on account of the COVID-
19 pandemic. The Academic Council will also review the situation as and when required
and modification to any of the above decisions will be duly notified.
Orders are issued accordingly.
