How does this lesson involve movement: The song associated with this lesson is called Boogie
Chant and Dance. In this song, there are various action words and commands the kids have to
perform, such as, turn all around, touch the ground, shake their shoulders, etc. All of these
commands that are given are for the kids to perform and show movement as the song is played.

How does this lesson involve listening: For this activity, students are supposed to go about their
day listening to the sounds around them (i.e. flushing toilet, birds, running water, etc.). They will
be able to identify environmental sounds around them and in the classroom.

How does this lesson involve instruments: In this lesson, children are supposed to identify
instruments and match them to shapes that are similar. As they learn the instruments and sounds,
they will be able to play percussion instruments as they follow visual cues given by a
“conductor”. They will also be able to learn long and short sounds, as well as high and low
sounds.
