Default value 0,0 °C Step 0,1 °C
Position Related applications AMF, MRS
Description
This setpoint adjust the basic temperature for Choke function. When temperature will be higher than this
setpoint, Choke Time will be always 0. When temperature will be lower than this setpoint, Choke Time will
be counted by curve adjusted via setpoint ChokeIncrement.

ChokeIncrement

STARTER.

New Features List IL-NT 2.4.0 5

Choke
Description
Logical binary output CHOKE is activated every time when logical binary output STARTER is activated. Output
is deactivated when one of these conditions is fulfilled:
Choke Time countdown
Generator voltage is bigger than Choke Voltage
Logical binary input CHOKE INHIBIT is activated
Or when there is some of these situations during starting:
Alarms of 2nd level
Emergency stop
Stop command
Cranking pause

Choke Inhibit
Description
Logical binary input CHOKE INHIBIT prevent Choke functionality when CHOKE is activated. If CHOKE INHIBIT is
activated when CHOKE LBO is active, CHOKE LBO is deactivated immediately and vice versa if LBI CHOKE
INHIBIT is deactivated and LBO CHOKE should be active then is activated.

Setpoint Nominal RPM is not connected with setpoint Nominal Frequency
Analog measurement on IGS-PTM CAN module
measured value on analog current or voltage inputs 2, 3 and 4 was 100x lower then value which was
defined in curve of analog sensor

New Features List IL-NT 2.4.0 7

3 Changes in the version 2.3.1
3.1 Repairs
Delay of D+ condition for starting
When starting level of D+ is reach, there is 1 s delay. After This delay engine is considered as started.

New Features List IL-NT 2.4.0 8

4 Changes in the version 2.3.0
4.1 New features
Choke LBO for MRS3, MRS4, AMF8, AMF9
This is a feature for small petrol gen-sets, where electronic choke control is needed. CHOKE LBO can be
activated during Prestart and Starting state and it is always deactivated at the latest at the end of
Cranking state. Choke function can be set by these setpoints:
Choke Time
Time length when CHOKE LBO is activated during Prestart and Cranking
Range: 0 - (MaxCrankTime + ChokeLead)
Defaul Value: 0
Choke Lead
Time lenght when CHOKE LBO is activated during Prestart, it can be used when choke is opening
slowly.
Range: 0 - 7 s (maximum value of Choke Lead is limited by actual Prestart Time, Choke Lead ≤
Prestart Time)
Default Value: 0

This binary output and input was added:

LBO CHOKE
Binary output connected to gen-set Choke
Can be configured as standard binary output
LBI CHOKE INHIBIT
Binary input used to deactivate LBO Choke
When LBI Choke Inhibit is activated, LBO Choke is deactivated immediately
Can be configured as standard binary input

Adjustable D+ threshold for MRS3, MRS4, AMF8, AMF9

This is a feature for small petrol gen-sets, where D+ voltage does not reach 80% of controller supply
voltage. Normally it caused Warning ChargeAlt Fail. Now the threshold and delay can be adjusted by
these setpoints:
D+ WrnThreshold
Voltage threshold in percent to evaluate Warning ChargeAlt Fail
Range: 0 - 100 %, where 100 % is supply voltage
Default Value: 80 %
D+ Delay
Time delay when D+ voltage is evaluated
Default Value: 1 s

New Features List IL-NT 2.4.0 10

During starting state: D+ voltage is evaluated as one of condition to deactivate a STARTER LBO -
when D+ voltage is reached, STARTER LBO is deactivated after D+ Delay is elapsed. Next condition
which deactivates STARTER LBO is elapsing of Cranking time or starting RPM are reached.
During Running state: D+ voltage is evaluated as condition to activate Warning ChargeAlt Fail based
on setpoints D+ WrnThreshold and D+ Delay
Modbus communication for MRS3, MRS4, AMF8, AMF9
Modbus is fully available for communication modules via setpoint group Comm Settings. It is adjusted by
these setpoints:
Controller Adress
Controller identification number. It is possible to set controller address different from the default
value (1) so that more IL controllers can be interconnected (via RS485) and accessed e.g. from
Modbus terminal.
Range: 1 - 32
COM1 Mode
Communication protocol switch for the COM1 channel.
Values:
DIRECT: LiteEdit communication protocol via direct cable.
MODEM: LiteEdit communication protocol via modem.
MODBUS: Modbus protocol. See detailed description in InteliCommunication guide.
ECU LINK: Protocol for communication with Cummins engines via Modbus.
COM2 Mode
Values:
DIRECT: LiteEdit communication protocol via direct cable.
MODBUS: Modbus protocol. See detailed description in InteliCommunication guide.
ECU LINK: Protocol for communication with Cummins engines via Modbus.
ModemIniString
If your modem needs some additional initialization AT commands (i.e. because of national
telephony network differences), it can be entered here. Otherwise leave this setpoint blank.
ModbusComSpeed
If the Modbus mode is selected on COM1 or COM2 channels, the Modbus communication speed
in bps can be adjusted here.
Values: 9600,19200, 38400, 57600

Frequency selection support for AMF9 a MRS4

ECU Frequency selection support added when ECU is configured (for Volvo, Scania and Cummins
engines). These setpoints are visible when ECU is configured:
ECU FrequencySelect
Values: DEFAULT, PRIMARY, SECONDARY
Default Value: DEFAULT
ECU SpeedAdj
Enables to adjust engine speed in ECU via CAN bus. Nominal speed corresponds to 50%. The
minimum value 0% is equal to 90% of nominal speed. Maximum value 100% is equal to 110% of
nominal speed.
Range: 0 - 100 %
Default Value: 50 %

4.2 Repairs
Missing symbols of Ukrainian language
Symbols added in Cyrilic code page
Missing values of kWh and kVArh when Chinesse language selected
Added values to:
AMF25 - Genset kWh, Genset kVARrh, Mains kWh, Mains kVArh
AMF8, 9, 20 - Genset kWh, Genset kVARrh - added new screen
MRS15, 16 - Genset kWh, Genset kVARrh
MRS3, 4, 10, 11 - Genset kWh, Genset kVARrh - added new screen
When LBO1 is configured as Not Used, it is permanently acivated
Repaired, when LBO1 isconfigured as Not Used, it is deactivated
Wrong Fls Oil Pressure evaluation
Engine is able to start even Oil pressure sensor is disconnected
When Oil Pressure analog input Direction was set to UnderLimit+Fls, sensor was disconnected and
thenFault Reset was pressed. It was possible to start engine manualy. Gen-set Red and Green LED

lights. It could cause Gen-set running with zero Oil Pressure
Now, after Oil Pressure sensor is disconnected, SdOilPressure alarm is evaluated and manual Gen-
set start is not allowed until Oil Pressure sensor is properly connected again. Gen-set Red LED
lights.
Undervoltage protection evaluation - MRS19
When engine was started with Generator current higher then zero, voltage autodetection was skipped
and alarm Sd Gen L1 and Sd Gen L3 appears and it terminates engine running. Alarm Sd Gen L1 and Sd
Gen L3 was evaluated incorrectly.
Now, voltage is autodetected at each starting sequence.
