Reflection:​ I had 2 goals that I wanted to accomplish in my first field placement: 1. I will uphold the North Carolina Code of Ethics for
professionalism in my field placement. 2. I will maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment in my field placement. The activities and
actions that I was to follow through with for goal #1: I will dress professionally when I attend my problem session. I will follow the rules for students
and teachers put in place by CCMMS. The activities and actions that I was to follow through with for goal #2: I will be present when I attend my
problem session. I will look to include all students and reach out to those who seem distant. I will follow the rules for students and teachers put in
place by CCMMS.
For the first goal, I followed through with both actions. When I showed up at the school for each problem session, I dressed professionally and was
excited to finally get to wear my ‘teacher clothes’ that I had in my closet! I also followed the rules that were in place for both the students and
teachers of Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School.
For the second goal, I followed through with all 3 actions. When I showed up to my problem session, I was not on my phone or distracted with other
things. I observed the students in class and talked to them about the classwork as well as things that were happening outside of the classroom. I also
followed the rules that were in place for both the students and teachers of Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School.
I believe that I accomplished the 2 goals that I set at the beginning of the semester for my field placement!
