To whom it may concern,

I am a recent Liberal Arts Graduate who shows great strengths in interpersonal
connections and attention to detail. Throughout my college career I have worked at Starbucks,
starting as a barista, and working my way up to Shift Supervisor. Upon promotion I decided to
apply for Starbucks’ College Achievement Program, through which I acquired my degree. While
enrolled, I was forced to take my multi-tasking skills learned at work and apply them to life
outside of work, where I’ve created a further sophisticated style of productivity. If someone with
attention to detail and strong personal connections is what you are looking for, I’d love to meet
to discuss as I’m interested in taking on a higher management position with a leadership-oriented
role.

In addition to my resume, attached here, I have included some key points that I found most
important.

1. I have acquired over 8 years of customer service experience, 4 of those years at

Starbucks.

2. Throughout my work as a Shift Manager I have lead customer connection scores to

increase and helped bring my home store to number two in our district.

3. Prior to, as well as throughout my time with Starbucks I received a Hospitality

certification from the Hotel and Lodging Association, a Food and Beverage Safety
certification, as well as the many provided trainings and seminars offered to Shift
Supervisors.

4. Since my promotion, I have focused in depth on strengthening several skills that are ideal
to have as a leader. While running shifts with customers at the core, I was able to
successfully solve problems in the moment by using the fundamentals I’ve worked so
hard to stay close to. I believe that the most successful way to be a leader is by owning
everything you do and taking the proper accountability.

I’m hungry to do something more with the tools I have been given. Throughout the last
four years I have worked patiently, gaining the skills needed to explode out into the workforce
and make meaningful change and connections. With my love and passion for coffee and creating
a wholesome and welcoming environment, I hope to take this Store Manager role to new levels
and create a team of partners just as passionate about their craft as I am. I appreciate that you’ve
