NCR Responses
Two primary changes have been made to the way NCR responses are
written and recorded in eAuditNet.
• The first cycle response block has been segmented into 6 blocks aligned
with the 6 required response elements to ensure information has been
provided for each element to avoid added cycles for not responding to a
required element
• The method of recording NCR responses in eAuditNet has been changed
to allow the response to be saved and edited prior to posting

First Cycle Response
The familiar single response block has been segmented into 6 distinct blocks
aligned with the 6 required response elements
• Text is required to be entered in each block
• The first cycle response cannot be posted if text is not provided in all 6 blocks.
Note: if you are challenging the validity of an NCR, provide rationale for the
challenge in the Immediate Corrective Action block and add a single text
character in the remaining 5 blocks.
• An error message will be displayed if text is not entered into a block and the
‘Post’ button is clicked. Note: eAuditNet will not check to confirm objective
evidence attachments have been added. The user must ensure all objective
evidence files have been attached prior to posting the response
• The response block segmentation only applies to the first cycle response. All
subsequent responses will use the single response block

Save and Edit In-Progress NCR Response
• Information entered in response blocks can be saved
• Text and attachments can be edited up until the point the NCR
response is posted to the Auditee Discussion section
• A preview button displays the response as it will look after being
posted to Auditee Discussion
• The draft response in the response block can only be seen by the
user creating the draft

Response Buttons

Save Progress saves the draft response. After clicking Save Progress
the first time, eAuditNet will automatically save every 2 minutes

Preview opens a new screen displaying the response as it will

look after being posted to Auditee Discussion

Post records the official response

in the Auditee Discussion section
of the NCR details page

Response Functionality
• The NCR details screen is unique to each specific eAuditNet user. A
response drafted and saved by one user cannot be seen by other users.
• Therefore it is possible for multiple users to create and post responses
for the same NCR. This has always been the case and has not changed
with this enhancement.
• A pop-up message has been added to alert a user when a response(s)
has been drafted by another user
• Once the audit is submitted for Auditee / SE Review, draft responses
started by other users will be deleted (see screen shot next page)
• It is important to coordinate NCR responses internally prior to posting
