26th Foundation Week

Objectives
 To remind the students about the humble beginnings of their educational institution
 To commemorate the birth of the school
 To reflect on the growth of the school over the last 26 years and the school’s bright future
ahead
Details of Activity
Foundation week is once a year event that students really enjoyed. We are preparing a lot
by the place, design and the activity the students and teachers can enjoy. Elementary and high
school have a foundation week, it was the anniversary of the school. All of the student was
voluntarily to attend for this event because it has a lot of things to be fun and happy.
The Benedictines celebrated its founding anniversary last September 27, 2019. This
occasion gives as an opportunity to take stock of our achievements and to rededicate ourselves to
face new challenges that lies ahead.
Below are the list of winners for each event.

Mister and Miss RBA 2020
Objectives
 To find one’s personality, their own strengths and weaknesses as a person
 To gain confidence and raise their self-esteem
Details of Activity
Regis Benedictine Academy held its Mister and Miss RBA 2020 pageant last February 14,
2020 which featured every boys and girls who represented their grade levels. Mr. Ronel Porcino
made the evening a pleasure for everyone in attendance through their humor, good nature and
off-the-cut remarks. The officer-in-charge invited three judges outside the school.
Everyone was excited when the pageant finally began. All the students were present-
shouting and cheering for their respective representatives. All the candidates oozed with beauty
and charms, donning their creative casual wear. And no doubt, it was indeed a sizzling hot
number followed by the long gown competition with the pairs in their formal wear and elegant
suit.
The third place in HS department was bagged by Jennie Mae Yu of level 10 while those
who were chosen as the second runners up were Mark Armocilla of level 10 and Gem Enriquez
of level 7. Andrew Abrenica representing level 8 as well as Caila Ronque of level 9 got the first
runner up title. Caillou Ronque and Nichelle Mamisay had bested all the others when they were
proclaimed as the Mister and Miss RBA 2020. Sophia Garcia, grade 5, and Patrick Calamiong,
grade 3 are the title holders in Elementary department.
Outreach Program
Objectives
 To encourage the participation of the high school in social development work
 To promote a just, loving, equitable, and humane society
 To create a sense of cooperation integration and unity among the people
Details of Activity
Outreach is the activity of providing services to any population that might not otherwise
have access to those services. A key component of outreach is that the group providing it is not
stationary, but mobile; in other words, it involves meeting someone in need of
an outreach service at the location where they are.
Every year, the Benedictines are conducting an outreach program. The SSG cooperated
with the faculty to gather the donations to be given. Each and every Benedictine cooperated in
this said event. It was held last December 18, 2019. Some of the indigent family from Banaba
were lucky to have a pack of donation from the students. It is surely a big help for them.
Mr. & Ms. Teen BCPRISA and BCPRISA Cultural Competition
Objectives
 To enable each child to reach their full potential by fostering self-esteem and a sense of
achievement
 To provide students with an engaging and challenging experience
Details of Activity
BCPRISA (Batangas City Private Schools Association) is an organization of all private
schools in Batangas City. They conduct yearly a memorable event. They provide different
categories for the schools to participate.
Regis Benedictine Academy participated in cultural competition and the Mr. & Ms. Teen
BCPRISA. The cultural competition was held last November 29, 2019 at Marian Learning
Center and Science High School. The Benedictines ranked 2nd place in Zumba competition. The
group is composed of twelve students from junior high. It was really great to compete in this
kind of competition. You can see that the students really enjoyed while they’re on the
dancefloor!
The Mr. & Ms. Teen BCPRISA was held last December 11, 2019. Roleene Abrigonda
and Caillou Ronque represented the school for teen division, Christian Natski Desacula
represented the intermediate division and Kyendra Ayesha Fabellon represented the primary
division. All of them did a great job! Roleene Abrigonda and Kyendra Fabellon got the Ms.
Sweet Smile Award. Kyendra also got the Best Posture Award. Face of BCPRISA was awarded
to Natski Desacula.
It only proves that Benedictines do excel not only in academics but as well in extra-
curricular activities.
INVESTITURE
Objectives
 Signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office
bearers
 To develop leadership qualities and keep the school flag flying high forever
 To make the promise to the scouts and scouters of their troop and to all the scouts of the
world
Details of Activity
Last November 15, 2019, Regis Benedictine Academy held the Investiture Ceremony.
The investiture ceremony is the moment when the scouts, through the scout promise, annunciates
their pledge and loyalty to the scout law. At the ceremony, the scout makes the promise to the
scouts and scouters of their troop and to all the scouts of the world. After which, they are now to
be called scouts.
The investiture is the onset of that time when young people starts to discover the world
and forge their own self-hood by which scouting is so purposely inclined.
The value of scouting is that it focuses on ethics and values; service to the community;
and development of practical and leadership skills of young people. It is also about cooperation
and skill development, and fun too!
SCOUTING/CAMPING
Objectives
 To develop strong camaraderie, sportsmanship and teamwork among all students
 To have time and bond with their classmates, friends and teachers
 To acquire knowledge about scouting and survival tips
Details of Activity
The school administrators lead the annual school camping and scouting last October 24
and 25 2019, where the Benedictines joined different activities and spend half of the day at the
school grounds. Christian Rey Sumanga, grade 11 senior high student, lead the scouting
activities with the help of Sir Edmond Parilla. Every student were assigned to be part of a team.
After all the fun activities which involved teamwork, communication, cooperation, unity and
fun, the students prepared their own food for them to eat as a team. Participating together helped
the different students to gain connections with each other, which helps them to strengthen the
bond of every Benedictine.
LIONS POSTER MAKING
Objectives
 To enhance the knowledge in creating visuals/poster
 To raise other student’s awareness about the significant theme
 To enhance the skill and boost the self-esteem of a student
Details of Activity
Regis Benedictine Academy annually joins the Peace Poster Contest. It was held at the
Batangas Crown MJF Lion’s Clubhouse, Alangilan Batangas City last November 18, 2019. Earl
Jedreel Maravilla, grade 8 student, and Gian Carlo Lualhati, grade 6, represented our school,
Regis Benedictine Academy in the said event. Gian won 2nd place and Earl got the 1st place.
Last November 24, 2019, Batangas Crown MJF Lions Club sponsored a contestant, Earl
Jedreel Maravilla of Regis Benedictine Academy as he won the first place last November 18,
2019 to the District 301-A2’s Peace Poster Contest held at National Press Club, Manila. The
contest was an opportunity for the Young Children to Express through creative arts, how peace
can truly be achieved!
CHRISTMAS TREE/PAROL MAKING
Objectives
 To recognize that a Christmas tree and a parol is a symbol of Christmas
 To let the students test their ability to make a tree/parol out of recycled materials
 To show their talents and skills in designing and to cooperate with one another
Details of Activity
It’s Christmas season again! And we are aware that every year, the Benedictines
shows their creativeness and unity in making their Christmas tree and parols!
Christmas is the season where you give love and care to others. It is an annual
festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Benedictines together with their respective advisers come up with a creative idea
to make their Christmas trees and parols a unique one. Everyone did a great job! Grade 9 class
ranked 1st in the JHS-SHS department, Grade 11 and Grade 12 won the 2nd place and lastly the
Grade 8 got the 3rd prize. Although not everyone got the prize, you can see that every class
worked hard as a team to comply!
