COOKIES

Enable Cookies in Internet Explorer

Start Internet Explorer
Click on Tools and choose Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab.
Slide the privacy bar to the Medium setting.

Allow Cookies in Firefox

Start Firefox
Click on Tools on the menu bar and select Options.
In the Options window, select Cookies
Select Allow Sites to Set Cookies..

Please include your name, username, password, instructor’s name, course and section, and clearly state
the problem you are having.

DISPLAY CHECK

The display setting should be set to 1024 x 768 or greater running 16 bit color.
For Windows,

Right click your desktop and select Properties

Select the Settings tab.
Slide the Screen Resolution lever to 1024 x 768.
Change the Color Quality to Medium (High is possible)
Select OK to save your changes.

For Macintosh,
Click System Preferences, then double click Displays.
Change the colors setting to Thousands (Millions if possible).
Change the resolution to 1024 x 768.

*NOTE: If you are still having problems and are using McAfee or Norton antivirus software, temporarily
disable these programs and see if it fixes the problem. McAfee and Norton have built-in firewalls that
may block content.
FREE ONLINE TUTORING

NSCC has provided you with free access to an online tutorial program. You may log in from anywhere, at
any time and interact with live tutors. They provide tutoring in math, economics, accounting, English and
many other subjects.

Contact the Library, Learning Center, or the Online Learning Office at Nashville State Community College
for the user name and log in information.
