6. Additional Information
Backup
As all data is primarily kept on the server, a regular backup is highly recommended.
primtech stores data in a database system as well as in regular files. To ensure a
consistent status make sure no transactions are active during the backup process.

Maintenance and Monitoring

primtech relies on a working infrastructure including network and database. Please
ensure the database system is maintained and make sure that your system can process
the growing amount of data. If necessary, upgrade your hardware resources in time.

Error logs and replication protocol files have to be reviewed on a regular basis.
Especially for larger installations, it is advised that an administrator is available during
working hours. The administrator should have profound knowledge of the primtech
requirements as well as of the existing infrastructure.
