The problem of violence in the modern world is attracting increasing attention from both the

social sciences and society. According to data from criminology, health care, sociology, and the
press, a significant number of different families have developed a way of life for which violent
interpersonal relationships become the norm, passed down from generation to generation.
According to reports from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, up to 40% of serious crimes are
committed in the family; at the same time, one in eight is created with special cruelty, and one in
six is created with abuse of the victim. The main victims of domestic violence are children,
women and people with disabilities. The number of children beaten and mutilated by their
parents reaches 2 million annually; the number of child suicides has increased by 70% over the
decade.
It is necessary to intervene in society, to understand domestic violence as a special problem that
requires a comprehensive system of preventive and corrective measures aimed at solving it.
Since the mid-2000s, several government measures have been taken to improve the socio-
economic situation of the family, protect motherhood and childhood, and prevent orphans and
child neglect.
However, it has not yet been possible to change the negative trends in this area: neglect, cases of
suicide among children, crimes against minors and crimes against them, including parents, are
growing
Violence is the use of physical force to inflict harm, abuse, violence, or murder.
Type of violence:
 Physical is the deliberate use of physical harm or injury
 Emotional (mental) violence-threats and taunts, humiliation, self-esteem, excessive
demands.
 Sexual violence - using people to satisfy the sexual needs of others. The use of threats,
force, for the production of pornographic products, as well as its demonstration of
pornographic products. Engaging people in prostitution, commercial sexual exploitation -
exploiting a person face-to-face and paying for it in cash or in-kind against third parties.
 Economic is the use or abuse of the partner's financial or other monetary resources
without the partner's voluntary consent. The abuser will keep the victim away from their
job, which will lead to loss of money and eventually get fired. The abuser also creates a
conflict with the victim's colleagues. They also accept the victim's credit cards, as well as
monitor their Bank accounts and monitor their expenses.
Many people do not consider this problem global, because it is not theft, epidemic, flood, but
only litter in the family, but not always litter ends with screams, often causing injuries in various
forms, and even death.
Violence is a gross violation of human rights, and violence against women and girls remains
widespread in Europe and Central Asia. 80% of victims of sexual violence in almost every
country in the region are women and girls. For example, in Belarus, 83% of women reported
such cases, in Moldova-60%, in Albania-58%. women are still physically or sexually abused by
their partners. This was confirmed by 58% of women in Tajikistan, 42% of women in Turkey,
and more than 20% in 11 other European and the Central Asian States.
While some countries in the region have strengthened legislation to combat domestic violence
and human trafficking, and others have adopted national gender equality strategies to combat
violence against women, their implementation is constrained by low enforcement capacity, lack
of financial resources, insufficient specialized services for survivors of violence (especially in
rural areas), poor coordination, and dominant social norms, traditions and practices.
Domestic violence is a form of physical, psychological, sexual, and economic crime. One in
three serious crimes is related to domestic violence.
The law on domestic violence protects citizens of 146 countries, but not in Russia or Belarus.
Every third Belarusian woman is subjected to physical violence.
Many women who were punished for murder defended themselves against the aggression of their
loved ones. They are not included in the statistics of victims of violence. The law on combating
domestic violence would guarantee protection to victims and assistance from the aggressor.
Statistics show that 3 thousand people applied to the police in 2019, but then they were taken
away. There were 85 thousand calls about domestic violence, 50 thousand were brought to
justice (fine) and only 2 thousand to criminal. RB
Many people ask the question so why does the victim not leave, from the aggressor, if she is
causing discomfort and there is a threat to life, there are answers to this:
Domestic violence describes the act of a person who uses violence or manipulation to control
someone else or get what they want.
The abuser is usually adept at manipulation and deception and uses things like guilt, shame,
intimidation, or fear to maintain control over their partner. Some of them are even able to make
their victim think that there is nothing wrong with it as if the reason for their behaviour was just
an outburst of anger and will never happen again. There are cases where victims don't even
realize that what they are going through is violence, so they don't try to seek help. Others may be
fully aware, but due to various circumstances, they cannot achieve this. It may be associated with
such tactics as threats or blackmail, to force the victims to remain silent. In fact, according to
Safe Voices 'abuse statistics," most cases of domestic violence are never reported to the police.»
When people hear the problematic word "violence", the image of a person with bruises and
injuries usually comes to mind. However, violence is more than just broken bones and battered
skin. Domestic violence is not always purely physical. Physical violence, emotional violence,
sexual violence, financial violence, digital violence, and harassment all fall within the spectrum
of domestic violence. Some people go through combinations of more than one type of violence.
More than 7 million cases of domestic violence are registered worldwide every year. Every year,
17,000 victims of domestic violence are killed. This crime is committed every day, every hour,
every minute and every second. The victim or rapist can be anyone. This can happen to any
child, man or woman. This terrible crime. Women are more likely to be victims of domestic
violence than men.
First of all, it should be noted that domestic violence is one of the types of ill-treatment that
exists in people's work, social activities. In the process of forming market relations in the
country, harsh, often criminal methods were actively spread seizing property and depriving a
large number of people of their livelihood. The state has abandoned many previous forms of
protection for various social groups, especially those who find themselves in a difficult financial
situation. The principle won: who is stronger, who is more successful in this life. In this
situation, the family found itself in a difficult situation where its adult representatives cared more
about basic survival than about the culture of relationships between close people. The General
stressful situation, in which almost the entire population of the country was involved, inevitably
led to an increase in mental and, in certain situations, physical violence in the family.
The main source of information for the population about domestic violence is the media. At the
same time, the media should broadcast examples of a normative culture of relations that ensures
the stable functioning and development of society. Meanwhile, extreme forms of domestic
violence (beatings, attempted murder, or murder) are constantly occurring here. Thus, destructive
stereotypes are unwittingly introduced into people's minds. At the same time, violence itself is
seen as a normal way of resolving conflicts. At least, this is how it becomes in the interpretation
of the people themselves.
Only one in three people place the hope of preventing and preventing domestic violence on
society and the state. Perhaps this is due to the fear that a significant number of people
themselves may be punished. Domestic violence has a high degree of latency. This is due, on the
one hand, to the reluctance, and on the other hand, to the inability of some dependent family
members to contact law enforcement agencies. The delay in violence is also related to the
reluctance and, in part, the inability of law enforcement agencies to provide real protection to
victims. Often, law enforcement agencies themselves hide reports of domestic violence. It is
clear that state intervention to prevent domestic violence is necessary, as well as people should
refuse to use force.
