visit the seaside village of Ste. Maries de-la-Mer, where Mary Magdalene, Mary
Salome, Mary Jacobe and their party are said to have first come ashore on their
journey from the Middle East. Here in this rich delta the Rhone River pours out into the
sea and Van Gogh painted the giant sunflowers that grow here so extensively. At Ste.
Maries de-la-Mer we will take part in the annual Gypsy Festival for Saint Sara who is
said to have accompanied the Marys across the Mediterranean. Gypsies from all over
Europe to celebrate Sara’s feast as they take her out of the crypt of the church at Ste.
Maries de-la Mer by horseback to the sea. The Gypsies also call Sara, their Patron
Saint, Sara-la-Kali. Our journey then continues on to the magnificent shrine in the
mountains of northern Spain, outside of Barcelona, to the Patron of Spain, the Black
Madonna at Montserrat.
Four pieces of Gospel evidence strongly point to Mary Magdalen as a temple
priestess of the Goddess. The first is her title "Magdalen," almost identical to "Magdala,"
noted earlier to be the name of the triple-towered temple of the Goddess Mari-Anna-
Ishtar. Literally, "Mary of the Magdala" signifies "Mary of the Goddess Temple.
"Christian tradition has said that Mary is of the town "Magdala" or "Migdal," which was
known as "The Village of Doves," a place where sacred doves were bred for the Goddess
temple. In either case, two threads of strong symbolism link the name Magdalen to
contemporary Goddess worship. -- 2

To this day, Mary Magdalene remains a most elusive and mysterious figure.
Speculation about her role in the development of early Christianity is not new. She has
been the subject of many different theories and myths throughout ecclesiastical history.
Such speculation is the result of the deafening silence from the Scriptures regarding this
woman who is cited by all four Gospels as being present at both the Crucifixion of Jesus
and the Empty Tomb on the morning of the Resurrection . Why is it that we know virtually
nothing else about her? Has she made contributions to the development of the early
church of which we are not aware?
AS TRÊS-MARIAS
destas Marias.
Mark 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was
Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome.
Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of
James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Matthew 27:55-56 - There were also many women there… among whom
were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the
mother of the sons of Zebedee. (…) 28.1 Now after the sabbath, toward the dawn
of the first day of the week, Mary Mag'dalene and the other Mary went to see the
sepulcher.
Early in the morning of the Lord's day the women went to the tomb. They were
Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James whom Jesus delivered out of the hand of
Satan, Salome who tempted him, Mary who ministered to him and Martha her sister,
Joanna (al. Susanna) the wife of Chuza who had renounced the marriage bed, Berenice
who was healed of an issue of blood in Capernaum, Lia (Leah) the widow whose son he
raised at Nain, and the woman to whom he said, 'Thy sins which are many are forgiven
thee'. (…) Not: That Mary the mother of Jesus is identified with Mary Magdalene is
typical of the disregard of history, and we have seen it in other Coptic documents. --
Gospel Of Bartholomew3
quatro mulheres:
In this group (second group) we see “Jesus mother, and His mother's sister,
Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene," and "the disciple whom He loved.".
Below is a comparison of John's account with the accounts of Matthew (Mt 27:56) Mark
(Mark 15:40).
Matthew Mark John

Mary, mother of James and Mary, mother of James and Mary, wife of
Joses Joses Clopas
Mother of Zebedee's sons Salome His mother's sister
His mother, Mary
There were four women present at the cross, three named Mary, and one named
Salome. Mary means "bitter", while Salome means "peace." How appropriate: Jesus
death was bitter, but at the same time brought peace. From the comparison, it appears
that Salome was Zebedee's wife, the mother of James and John, and the sister of Mary,
Jesus' mother. This would make John Jesus' cousin. -- Copyright 1997-1998 by Gregory J

To learn more of Jesus’ collateral relatives, we must turn to the writer
Hegesippus, who lived in Palestine in the mid-second century and recorded some local
traditions concerning Jesus and his relatives. Except for a few fragments, his work
unfortunately has not survived. What we know of his writings comes mostly from
quotations by the famous third- to fourth-century Church historian Eusebius. Although
the traditions in Hegesippus tend to be legendary, the legends are attached to historical
figures who were revered as Christian leaders and martyrs in the memory of the Jewish-
Christian communities of Palestine. Though the tales about them might not always ring
true, we can be sure that these people did exist and were related to Jesus in the way
Hegesippus claims.-- All in the Family: Indentifying Jesus’ Relatives, Richard J.
Bauckham.
Cleophas = "my exchanges", the father of James the less, the husband of Mary
the sister of the mother of Jesus.
(…) (b) James, who was the son of Mary, was the same person as the James,
the son of Alpheus. Granting the supposition under (a), this would not prove the identity
of Clopas and Alpheus unless this supposition can also be proven, but it seems
impossible to either prove it or disprove it.
(c) That Alpheus and Clopas are different variations of a common original,
and that the variation has arisen from different pronunciations of the first letter ("ch")
of the Aramaic original. There are good scholars who both support and deny this
theory. 7
No

The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia.
The steward of Herod Antipas was Chuza and Joanna was his wife. We
know that Manaen, the foster brother of Herod, was in after days a Christian, and
we know that among the women who ministered to Christ of their substance was
Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward. Chuza has been connected as being
the officer with the dying son at Capernaum, an official in Herod's
administration.
Joanna was among the women helping in the journeying - cooking meals
on the road perhaps - but they provided money as well. Mary Magdelene and
Joanna were both at the tomb on Easter morn. Chuza must have been a tolerant
husband to allow his wife so much time out of the house. It may have been his son,
Caper who Jesus healed in Cana (following the wine miracle). The Courtier
believing in Christ with his whole house conjectured to be Chuza. [309, 318]
A partir desta constatação basta
argutos exegetas.
Mary (2), mother of James the Less and Joseph, wife of Alphaeus was the sister
of Mary the mother of the Lord, whom John names of Cleophas, either from her father
or from the family of the clan, or for some other reason. Mary Salome (3) is called
Salome either from her husband or her village. Some affirm that she is the same as
Mary of Cleophas, because she had two husbands. -- Fragments Of Papias From The
Exposition Of The Oracles Of The Lord.
Jesus.
Once we can identify who James the Less truly was and who his father and
mother were we can see that the scripture aligns him with Jude or Judas, Simon, and
Joses as well as at least one sister Salome. The next two scriptures identifies Salome as
the child of one of the Mary's who attended to Jesus' burial rites and stood afar off while
he was being crucified. She and another brother Joses were with her on the hill
overlooking the crucifixion. Could they have been too young at the time to understand the
situation? "There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary
Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the Less and of Joses, and Salome," (Mark
15:40) " Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of
James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him." (Mark
16:1).-- 8
Mateus feita no evangelho harmónico denominado Diatessaron9.
Diatessaron Section LII. 21 And there were in the distance all the
acquaintance of Jesus standing, and the women that came with him from Galilee, those
that followed him and ministered. One of them was Mary Magdalene; and Mary the
mother of James the little and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee, and
Salome, and many others which came up with him unto Jerusalem; and they saw that.
One of them was Mary Magdalene; and Mary, the mother of James the little
and Joses, and Salome, the mother of the sons of Zebedee, and many others which
came up with him unto Jerusalem; and they saw that.
Saint Mary Salome = St. Mary Salome is one of the prominent female figures
in the Gospels and is mentioned by St. Matthew as the wife of Zebedee and the mother
of James and John. The name Salome is derived from a Hebrew word meaning peace
and prosperity and corresponds to the Greek name Irene. Many biblical scholars think
that Salome is a cousin of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. One of the "three Marys," the
holy women who ministered to Jesus during his earthly ministry, and may have
accompanied him on his travels.10

tese:
Now, when the birth of the Lord was at hand, Joseph had gone away to
seek midwives. And when he had found them, he returned to the cave, and found
with Mary the infant which she had brought forth. And Joseph said to the
blessed Mary: I have brought thee two midwives -- Zelomi [4] and Salome; and
they are standingr outside before the entrance to the cave, not daring to come in
hither, because of the exceeding brightness. And when the blessed Mary heard
this, she smiled; and Joseph said to her: Do not smile; but prudently allow them
to visit thee, in case thou shouldst require them for thy cure. Then she ordered
them to enter. And when Zelomi had come in, Salome having stayed without,
Zelomi said to Mary: -- The Gospel Of Pseudo-Matthew.
