2. Question paper will have three questions, first two questions of 15 marks
and third question of 20 marks.
3. Ensure that you answer in your own words and not copy the content
from any source. If students are found plagiarizing then the marks
assigned will be zero.
4. Time duration will be for four hours.

Answer the following questions.

1.If you were a manager of a leading consumer goods company, are you
comfortable doing all of your market research online? Why or why not? Do you
think your answer may change in a few years? If you decide to take an online
survey what precautions might you take to ensure that an online survey is
completed by the intended person?( 450 – 500 words) 15 marks

2. Compare the website of Amazon.com a B2C pure play with any one bricks
and clicks company. (from the below mentioned category). Does the company
you selected from the below mentioned industry leverage its bricks and clicks
capability well on its website? Why or Why not? What features could it add to
its website that would make it more successful? (150 - 200 Words)

3. Based on the classroom discussions answer the following questions:

a. Can advertising be annoying and effective at the same time? If you were a
manager of a FMCG(fast moving consumer goods) company and you have a
good budget for internet advertising (10 lacs per quarter) , will you decide to
use the budget and get the desired result or invest the amount for some other
marketing initiative? Why or why not? (200 – 250 words) 12 marks

b. Napster is an example of development technology that completely ignored


the business model. If you were the CEO of Napster on day 1 of its existence.
How would you have managed it differently? (200 – 250 words) 8 marks
