I have had the pleasure of teaching Sarissa Bryant in my Fashion Marketing and
Advanced Entrepreneurship classes over the past two years. Sarissa demonstrates all
of the qualities that you would seek in a student at your institution. She is intelligent,
disciplined, focused, diligent, and responsible. Over the course of her high school
career, she has taken numerous advanced placement courses, where she has excelled.
She is a model student and completes all of her assignments on time, with a great deal
of discipline and to the highest standards. Her hard work has earned her certifications
from the National Retail Federation in customer service and sales skills, the Virginia
Workplace Readiness Skills, and the WISE financial literacy certification. She seeks new
opportunities for personal growth and pursues leadership roles in every organization
she belongs to. She works well in groups, yet is able to stand on her own. This year in
our Entrepreneurship class, she started and ran a business throughout the year, where
she was able to put her leadership and interpersonal skills to use.
Sarissa’s work ethic and leadership can be seen not only in academic achievements but
also in her impressive resume of extracurricular activities and volunteerism. She is a
member of the Distributive Education Club of America (DECA), an association of
marketing students. With the club, she competed at the state level in a category
pertaining to marketing and business. She has taken part in all of the school fashion
shows, both with planning and modeling, and she attended a three-day field study trip
with me to New York, where she attended fashion seminars. She has been a member of
the Class of 2020 advisory board throughout the past four years, as well as the
yearbook staff. Her involvement with the school doesn’t stop when the year ends, as
she has helped with summer youth camps for art, lacrosse, and fashion. When not
helping at school, Sarissa works a part-time job, putting her customer service and sales
skills into practice.
Sarissa is an outstanding young woman. She is not only the student that every teacher
hopes they have, but she is also a truly wonderful person. I believe she will be
successful in whatever challenges are set before her. I have no doubt that she will be a
great addition and it is without hesitation that I recommend Sarissa.
Sincerely,
