AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN RICH COUNTRIES

What Rich Countries have as of the moment, money, machines and technology is not
enough in achieving Agricultural Development. But then as Rich Countries also have what highly
developed countries have, they are successful in their Agricultural Development Programs because
they have been equipped with proper institutions.

The impact of technological advance, machines and proper political in Rich Countries have
a big advantage against the Poor Countries as they help the country sustain and improve. Given
the case of United States, Canada and Australia, they are Rich Countries and also successful in
their Agricultural Development because of the high capital-labor ratios, optimum-sized individual
farm units and high rate of savings. Even at the beginning, such countries had produced surplus
foods and raw materials, these productions were marketed to the industrial countries like England
and Europe and these countries were the first to attain industrialization because of Industrial
Revolution, and they were the earliest colonial masters.
Technology methods is a main benefit in Agricultural Development in any country, the
yields would increase, then incomes were also expected to increase. But then, some rich countries
that has enough resources are not developing as the poor countries because even though they have
the materials needed, they have a limited areas for agricultural and climate is also another factor.
And even though the rich countries have anything they want, they still face problems of agriculture
such as production, processing, marketing, and even financing.

Based on research, the country that is most developed in agriculture is Germany and they
have approximately $70.8 billion exports. This makes agriculture one of the largest and most
significant industries in the world. Agricultural Productivity is important for a country’s balance
of trade and the security and health of its population.
