Propuesta para ensayo de análisis sobre la Concord Sonata de Charles Ives

Título

Charles Ives como pilar de la música clásica estadounidense

Justificación

Analizaré los cuatro movimientos de la Concord sonata de Charles Ives (1919) y discutiré las
citaciones musicales (musical quotation) en cada uno de los movimientos. Además, trataré el
tema de la filosofía detrás del proceso compositivo de esta obra y la influencia que tuvieron
algunos trascendentalistas de la historia estadounidense, específicamente: Ralph Waldo
Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Bronson Alcott y Louisa Alcott y Henry David Thoreau. Por
último, analizaré los métodos de interpretación y su alta complejidad.
