B.C is the mother of the sick client named F.C. As part of identifying the client’s illness,
we also identified the hereditary diseases of both her mother and father. B.C has no
manifestation of any hereditary disease hence during interview, we have found as we traced their
family history.

She has a partner named J.M and they are still currently living in, they are not married in
church nor civil. They have seven children all in all and has grandson from her eldest child
which is J.C with her child J.G. Her partner J.M is on work and we did have the chance to
interview him to ask about his family history and since B.C knows a little about her partners’
family, we tried to get all the information they can give.

Starting from B.C’s family history, both her parents died years ago. Her father died due
to prostate cancer while her mother was due to hypertension and diabetes. When we asked about
her siblings (M.C and S.C), she does not have any contact or communication coming from them
long time ago and she has no idea of what is happening or what disease they inherit from their
parents, so the label remains unknown. About J.M’s parents, they also died years ago with the
same reasons except from his father who died with a different type of cancer; lung cancer. He
has five other siblings which are MJ.M, MA.M, G.M, F.M and Joc.M, there is no inherited
disease except for G.M because he has Tuberculosis as verbalized by B.C. We also traced their
children if there are signs or symptoms of diseases inherited from their grandfather or
grandmother and we only found that their second child (Je.C) has asthma, others are still
unknown since they are still young.
In this family setting, everyone has an activity of which they are expected on where they
will go and what routine they usually do in a week. In garnering all the information of activities
on their daily living, this layout shows that each of the member has their own role. B.C is a
housewife and builds a little store that comprises selling lugaw and kakanin such as
kutchinta, etc., In order for her to make some food to sell, she goes to the Bangkerohan market
every morning to buy ingredients right after going with her school age children to get ride into
the jeepney on the way to their school. In the afternoon, B.C is sometimes going to Mabini
Market to buy food to cook and oftentimes buying ready-made cooked food from karinderya for
their meals. When asked B.C about their routine every weekend, she has nothing left to say but
staying at home. She also mentioned going to church, only sometime for about twice of thrice a
month together with her children.

About her partner J.M, he is working in Leyte as a mechanic or helper in a shop. B.C
shared that her partner is only going home once or twice a month and that he can not stay longer
for at least a week because he is going back to his work already. They are not the type of family
that is very adventurous and always strolling everywhere to find amuse, they rather stay in their
house or staying outside their house to interact other neighbor while watching over her mini
store, this is verbalized by B.C. She also visits their health center for free consultation or
completing the vaccines of her children and grandchild based on the day schedule given on the
health center.
