I will track the progress of the group on one
paper to form a graph of the compiled
evidence to see the whole classes
developmental skill if they have completed
it or not.
Authentic Materials: (Describe authentic
real life, hands-on materials.)
The children will be able to lay down and get
their body traced and then be able to paint
their own body on the paper with the paint
and by using the paint. This will allow them
to express their own creativity and put their
own visual art on display.
Adult Roles:
1. Trace each child
2. Pour paint
3. Watch children when doing the
activity
4. Clean up of activity
1. Gather the students to discuss what we will be
doing for the activity
2. Then discuss the academic language
throughout talking about the activity to
familiarize the children with it
3. Split the students into groups of 3
4. Have students go to centers while the group 3
stays with you to do the activity
5. You should have paper, paint, paintbrush, and
markers ready for the students to come to you.
6. First trace each students body on a long piece
of paper by having the child lay down on the
paper
7. Then have the child paint their own body with
whatever color they would like to use.
8. While doing this you can have the child identify
the colors they are using during the activity.
9. Once the child has completed painting their
body, write their name on it and display it in
the classroom to allow the child to recognize
that is their artwork.
10. Repeat until all the students are done with the
activity.
11. During this be looking to see if the child can
stay focused on the activity, knows how to use
the art supplies, and if they can keep the paint
on the paper.
12. Modification for this could be to have a basic
body traced on a normal size paper and have
the student if able just sit at the table and paint
it that way.

possibilities when creating something with a variety of media.

The students will be able to create artwork with different materials.

The students will be able to see the new possibilities of using different materials to enhance
your artwork.

The students can work in pairs to trace each other's bodies. They can then make sure to
incorporate writing their own name somewhere on their traced body. They can also create their
art with multiple types of drawing utensils other than paint, You can allow them to choose.
