Dear General Secretary:

On the effects of technology on the environment, in my opinion, the materials of many of

the parts and components of computers, cell phones and video audio devices in general, are

made with elements that are not friendly to the environment, They are not biodegradable,

they take many years to decompose and there is no established way to reuse or recycle

them, or due to lack of information for people, they do not know how to dispose of them

when recycling. When we do not have this technological waste as it should, we can be

contaminating rivers and forests thanks to the fluids that these wastes can throw from their

energy storage sources or batteries and that are very toxic and we would also be damaging

the original habitat of some species and with this we could also be ending some of these. In

this way we also pollute the air we breathe and the atmospheric layer itself.
Unit 1 - Future events

According to the rapid advances that technology currently has, I consider that they generate

rising levels of consumption as people want to obtain the latest technology and this has a

significant impact on waste generation and environmental pollution. Economic and

population growth in developing countries also increases every day and, as a consequence,

if current trends continue to increase that consumerism, and to this we add the rapid

urbanization of areas where there were once forests full of fauna and flora. , there will be an

imminent natural resources scarcity and we will see, as now, that global warming is real

and that we are generating it ourselves.

I recommend to develop policies that help people to become aware of the damage we are

doing, governments and the united nations must generate a climate policy that allows

immediate action, supporting projects that promote ecological technologies, friendly to the

environment and support activities in which sustainable development is the important factor

to develop. I would like everyone to think for a moment about how it can contribute to give

our planet a new chance to survive, be reborn and change the temperature levels that we

currently see in an unusual way everywhere.

By working together as a team, better results that will help the planet can be achieved,

humanity in the present and even future generations.
