Mr. Tarun k. Aseri Name: Sourabh Meena
(Assistant Professor) ( 6th Semester )
Mechanical Department Batch- M4(16ME69)
OBJECTIVE:-To estimate temperature and relative humidity
distribution at the three floors of New Building of Govt. Engineering
College, Ajmer.

APPARATUS:-

1.Thermohygro meter

Make: Fluke

Model no: 971

Specifications:

 Backlit dual display of humidity and temperature.

 Measures dew point and wet bulb temperatures.
 99 record storage capacity
 Ergonomic design with belt clip and protective holster
 Quick-response capacitance sensor
 Compact and lightweight (188 g /6.6 oz)
 Temperature range from -20 °C to 60 °C (-4 °F to 140 °F)
 Relative humidity from 5% to 95%
 Min/Max/Avg Data hold
 Low battery indicator

Methodology:-

1. Preparation of grid/divide the floor area into known number of segments

using column and row format.
2. For example:- P1,3,2 represents 1st floor, 3rd column, 2nd row .
3. Obtain temperature and relative humidity measurements at each stepped
grid in step 1-2 and enter them into a table.
4. Preparation of tables for floor-01 & floor-02 using same method as
mention in step-03.
5. Prepare a colour contour for temperature and relative humidity for each
floor.

Result-: We have successfully done the above experiment with the help of
Hygrometer.
We have got,
the min value of humidity is 47% and max. Is 55.6%.
The min value of temperature is 16 and max. Is 20.1.

Discussion-:
1. First we took the readings with the help of Hygrometer of 1st, 2nd, and
ground floor.
2. The readings were of temperature and relative humidity.
3. Then we fed these readings in Excel and made the above given patterns
of rectangular shape.
4. At last color was filled in the following shapes with the excel.
For temperature= Blue (for lowest) to Red (for highest)
For humidity=Green(for lowest) to Yellow(for highest)
5. This color shows the distribution of readings of temperature and humidity
in the grids form
6. Here we do not take the time period factor in the account so that it is the
main disadvantage of this experiment.
