maintenance of a light rail system with 4 lines, 58,5 km, 65 stations (12 underground) and
72 light rail vehicles worth 1.5 B€;
Started commercial operation in December 2002;
Is now comprised of: 6 lines, 67km, 81 stations (12 underground) and 102 vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:
• Metro do Porto Expansion (2nd Phase)
- Design and development of the reference solution for 2 of the 4 lines comprising
the 2nd phase of the Light Rail system's expansion in the Oporto Metropolitan
Area (18.12 km; 18 underground stations; 6 surface stations);
- Route design, integration and coordination with the stakeholders involved;
- Surface stations design and integration with existing surroundings;
- Underground stations design and construction technique definition according
with the surrounding areas requirements;
- Underground stations design ensuring evacuation time compliance to NFPA 130;
- Urban integration of station accesses, ventilation shafts and grids;
