Reason: New process for ZF Testman software license

Technical Description:

With this Parts Service Gram we would like to inform you that we have a new process in place for ZF
Testman transmission software. The new process works with a USB Dongle License.

• There is no additional activation required before use

• The USB Dongle License will provide Testman access to any PC it is plugged into
• The USB Dongle License is valid for 5 years

The USB Dongle is now available and can be ordered through the European Parts Operation. Please
order kit part number 4675763.

The ZF Testman installation manual is available from Hypass Online and can be found via:
Truck Details > Select your truck > Software > Transmission >> ZF Ergo Power Series

This license dongle kit includes the USB Hardware Dongle

and a lanyard as shown in the picture.

Previous ZF Testman licenses

• New initial and extension licenses wil not be provided anymore from now on.
• Initial and extension licenses which are currently already activated can still be used until they
expire (maximum 1 year for both).

The expiry date can be found in the Testman program via: Help > About ZF-TESTMAN

Previous ZF Testman software

In case the dongle is used in combination with the previous Testman software license it might result in
a warning message that the dongle needs to be removed. In that case you should first delete the old
software license as per instructions below. Please note that this action cannot be undone!

Deleting an old Testman software license:

• Click on Start >> Find program “CodeMeter“ >> “CmAct“

• There is a file named “5000230_128-xxxxxx.wbb”. Delete this file (ensure that the file really
has this number!)
• Restart your computer
• Run the ZF Websync before proceeding. The Websync can take up to 3-4 hours. It can run in
the background and will not affect normal PC usage. Wait until the Websync completes
successfully.
• Plug the dongle into your PC and start Testman
