RE: MING RAMOS – VICTOR Philippine National Open, Youth and Corporate
Badminton Championships 2010

Dear Badminton Friends:

Greetings from the Philippine Badminton Association!

It is my greatest pleasure to present to you the MING RAMOS-VICTOR Philippine National

Open, Youth and Corporate Badminton Championships 2010 on December 27 to 30, 2010.
This year’s event will feature three categories – the Philippine Open, the Philippine Youth and
the Philippine Corporate.

The Open category will showcase the country’s best and upcoming players in Men’s Singles,
Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The Youth category is patterned after the annual Asian Youth Championships in Singapore and
will feature Boys Singles, Girls Singles, Boys Doubles and Girls Doubles in five age groups –
Under 19, Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 11.

The Corporate category will be played by the most competitive corporate badminton teams in
best-of-three team ties composed of Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The eliminations will be held at Club 650, Libis, Quezon City on December 27 and 28 and the
quarter finals, semi-finals and finals at the PSC Badminton Hall on December 29 and 30.

Inspired by the performance of our players in the international arena where we are gaining
recognition and respect, the Ming Ramos – Victor National Open, Youth and Corporate
Badminton Championships aims to seek more potential players on whom we can rest our hopes
for the elusive medal that will bring honor to our country in the South East Asian Games, Asian
Games and the Olympics.

Moreover, as a manifestation of our commitment to bring our sport to greater heights, the BAC
(Badminton Asia Confederation) Development Officer will be coming to observe our event, in
line with the BAC’s intent to hold the SEA BAC Training Camp in the Philippines soon.

This event will also serve as the official tournament to identify the best players in the country in
the different categories and our way of selecting players who will participate in BWF-sanctioned
junior tournaments next year.

May I then take this opportunity to invite you and your team to participate. Let us therefore
work together in building a better, stronger and a more competitive badminton team.

Thank you very much and on behalf of the PBA, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous
Smashing New Year!

Very truly yours,

MRS. AMELITA M. RAMOS

President
