You have been appointed as the network associate in a company. You and your team members have
configured VLANs for the company as shown in Figure 1

Explain TAREE (3) benefits of using VLANs. (9 marks)

Based on Figure 1, PCs and laptops within the same VLANS are able to communicate
with each other but not with PCs and laptops from different VLANs. What is the most
likely caused of this problem? (3 marks)
Propose ONE (1) device to be added into the network topology as shown in Figure 1 and
explain FOUR (4) operations that need to be performed in the proposed device for
laptops in VIAN 22 to communicate with PCs in VLAN 11.

subnets by using Variable-Length Subnet Masks (VLSM). The network address allocated is
