Referential fremework
OpenLDAP
it's a code-free implementation of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol  (LDAP)
protocol developed by the Project OpenLDAP.
It is a communication protocol independent of the platform and it is free under your own
license OpenLDAP Public License.
Basically, OpenLDAP has three main components:
 slapd -Demon server and tools.
 Libraries that implement the LDAP protocol.
 Client programs: ldapsearch, ldapadd, ldapdelete, among others.

 Internationalization using UTF-8 characters and language attributes.

Conclusions

OpenLDAP Public License which establishes certain conditions for the use and
modification of the software
