Title Cumelada Vista

Objective/Purpose Listening closely

Diction with unfamiliar/nonsense
words/syllables

Speaking in rhythm

Procedure(s) 1. Explain to the students that the warm-

section is longer, so listen first, do not
start early!

3. Tell students it is okay if they are lost on

the words the first time – if you cannot get
it, just listen a few times. It moves fast!

4. Teacher says the words out of

rhythm/without pitched singing once,
have the students repeat just the words

5. Start a steady beat alternating things

and clap

6. Teacher sings the first phrase and has

the students repeat

7. Teacher sings the second phrase and

has the students repeat

8. Teacher sings the third phrase (it is

longer!) and has the students repeat

9. Teacher chants the fourth phrase and

has the students repeat

10. Go over the words again, try to sing it

all the way through
