donate $20,000
With local charities under
stress, Keystone XL is working
with the City of Glasgow and
Valley County to help put
together baskets of essential
items for those in need.
The $20,000 donation
is part of their long history
of partnering with local
communities along the route
in both Canada and the U.S.,
whether it’s helping to combat
childhood hunger in Montana
or upgrading communication
equipment for first responders
in Alberta.
The donation here in Valley
County will help support the
needs of the most vulnerable
during the COVID-19
emergency, including seniors
on fixed incomes and low-

Hallways to remain silent
On Saturday, the Glasgow School Board voted to
keep the schools closed and continue with the “distance
learning” to close out the 2019-2020 school year.
Apply for Cornwell Scholarship
Applications are now being accepted for the Lynn
Cornwell Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by the four
Valley County Grazing Districts. It is open to any Valley
County High School graduate that is a college sophomore
or above. Applicants must be attending Montana State
University, Bozeman or an MSU affiliated college & be
majoring in an agriculture related field.
The scholarship will be in an amount up to $1000.

woman was arrested for
shop lifting. When she
went before the judge in
Cincinnati he asked her,
“What did you steal?”
She replied,’ A can of
peaches.’
The judge then
asked her why she had
stolen the can of peaches
and she replied that she
was hungry. The judge
then asked her how many
peaches were in the can.
She replied 6.
The judge then said,
“I will then give you 6
days in jail.”
Before the judge
could actually pronounce
the punishment, the
woman’s husband spoke
up and asked the judge if
he could say something.
