Writing Exercise 1- Nature’s Numbers

The world is full of patterns. Almost everything in nature is made up of patterns.

From the smallest of things to something bigger, they are composed of patterns and

mathematics. Almost everything has the same structure or form. For example, the

snowflakes and the beehive formation each have 6 sides. The sand dunes and the

waves resemble the same as well as the spots of tigers and hyenas. From these

patterns, humans have recognized and devised the two types of patterns known as

fractals and chaos. Where fractals are known to have similar patterns while chaos is

known for having random attributes. In general, mathematics is everywhere and used in

almost everything.

Everything in nature is some kind of a puzzle that requires deep and critical

thinking. Mathematics helps us to solve these puzzles brilliantly using a systematic way.

As time progresses, new discoveries. Constants, equations and other mathematical

expressions came to life and is widely used today. They are invented by the famous

scientists namely Newton, Einstein, Kepler etc. However, upon reaching these

successful inventions, there were failures and hardships that these inventors have

encountered. There are lots of other discoveries such as calculus- a branch of

mathematics. These came from observing the patterns and knowing how the pattern

works. After some time, if one really knows or understands how the pattern works, one
can not only be an observer but also one can change or revise how the system works

and the result will be similar to what one desires.

From these basic discoveries, newly invented equations came. Initially, when we

hear or read the word “mathematics” what comes first into our mind is numbers.

Mathematics is more than just numbers, they are composed of patterns that if learned,

can make us understand why a thing is shaped liked that and why are there x numbers

of n. More calculations and processes were invented to achieve the highest quality of

output and more precise results. The universe and everything in it are all composed of

mathematics and patterns. Each new creature or thing is discovered, it will lead to a

connection about other things because almost everything is connected to each other in

patterns and calculations. Mathematics helps us understand all things that are beyond

comprehension with the use of human logic alone and with the help of constants and

equations, we can understand everything and we can discover anything.
