by the instructor not later than 28th February 2020 at 23:59 hours otherwise your assignment will
not be marked.

Time
Total Editing time (as shown in document properties in file info. tab) should not be greater than
60 minutes.

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop skills needed in creation of technical reports/
research thesis including cover page and table of content by using Microsoft Word.

This assignment can be completed on PCs or laptop having Microsoft Word 2007 or any above
version.
GUIDE LINES
(It must be understood with reference to the sample provided)
File Properties

Your file must have the following properties

1. Create a MS Word file and named it as your student number.
2. Enter your name as AUTHOR in document properties.
3. Total editing time should not more than 60 minutes

Cover page

The cover page of your assignment must be included the following features and look like
the given sample cover page.
1. Title (i.e computer application to business/education) must be in Upper C:ase, Font Style:
Time New Roman, Font Size: 20, Bold, Line Spacing: 1.15, Alinement: centralized.
2. Second title (i.e An Assignment Presented to…..) Capitalize Each Word, Style: Time New
Roman, Font size: 18, Bold, Line Spacing 2, Alinement: centralized.
3. Word count line must be Capitalize Each Word, Font Style: Time New Roman, Font Size:
18, Bold, Alinement: centralized, Highlight text with any color.
4. Submitting details (i.e submitted by etc.) must be Capitalize Each Word, Style: Time
New Roman, Size (18), Bold, Line Spacing 1, Alinement: centralized.

5. The text must be positioned as shown in the sample provided.
6. The cover page must have page border that is Box, Style: double line, Color: any of your
choice, Width: 6 pt).
7. Page number should not be appeared on cover page

Your assignment must have auto-generated table of context number. It must have the
following features and look like the given sample table of contents:
8. Page number of the list of tables should be referred
9. Page number of the list of figures should be referred
10. Page number of the Headings from level 1 to level 3 should be referred
11. The page having table of contents must have page number that should be cartelized, bottom
of the page, font style (Time New Roman), size (12), Number format (A, B).

This page must be given page number 1 and subsequent pages must have same number
format in continue fashion (i.e. 2 , 3, 4 and so on).
14. There must be a level 1 heading that should be Capitalize Each Words, Font Style: Time
New Roman, Size: 18, Font Color: Red , Alignment: Left.
15. There should be a paragraph formatted by using Styles. It should be justified having Font
Style: Time New Roman, Size: 12, Font Color: Black, and Line Spacing 1.5.
16. The paragraph must have at least one instance where Superscript as well as Subscript
were applied.
17. Page 1-6 must have header that should be centralized, italic, Time New Roman, Font Size 8.

Second Page

18. The page number 2 should have a paragraph that should be formatted by using Styles and it
should be justified having Font Style: Time New Roman, Size: 12, Font Color: Black, Line
spacing, 1.5.
19. Drop cap command must be applied on the first letter of the paragraph.

Third Page

20. There must be a level 2 heading that should be Capitalize Each Words, Font Style: Time
New Roman, Size: 16, Font Color: Green, Indent: left 0.5" Maximum.
21. There should be a multilevel list having at least four items (i.e. 1, 2, 3 and 4). Moreover
number 3 item has at least one sub-level item (3.1) which also has another sub-level item
(3.1.1).
22. There should be a paragraph between items number 2 and 3. The text of the paragraph should
be formatted by using Styles. It should be justified having Font Style : Time New Roman,
Size: 12, Font Color: Black , Line Spacing 1.5.
