CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Critical infrastructure refers to assets and systems, whether virtual or physical, so important to
the United States that the destruction or incapacitation of such assets and systems would contribute to
debilitating impact on national public health, security, national economic security or safety or a
combination of the above-mentioned matters. The national infrastructure protection plan in its current
status represents a case to integrate physical and cybersecurity, and the resilience of networks, systems,
