For the tool, I explored regarding project-based learning/portfolio sites was Seesaw.

For
this review, I made two accounts: a teacher and a student. I looked at Seesaw with the 4 C's in
mind like asked.
I started with Creativity. I discovered that Seesaw allows students to add their own
content. They can draw, journal, record a video, and take a photo. If able, they can upload a file
or even a link to show their evidence for their student portfolio. Teachers can do this as well for
their students. These options available for students are a tool for them to explore and demonstrate
their creativity.
Next was critical thinking. One tool on Seesaw is being able to assign different activities
for students to complete. There are endless options of reflections and critical thinking activities
available to students. These activities can be placed in different folders for their portfolio.
Collaboration was one area where I could not find anything that would support student
portfolio. I did not find a way for students to work together on an activity but wish there was
because it would be a great resource to use when this portfolio is used as a group project-based
portfolio.
Seesaw is a tool rich in the area of communication when considering the relationship with
student portfolios. Teachers can comment on students' work. They also must accept their
students' work submission before it is put into their portfolio. Teachers also have a
communication line between students and parents by being able to make announcements to
them.
In addition to looking at Seesaw and the 4 C's, I found the following that I appreciated
towards Seesaw as a student portfolio:
1. Teacher can create different folders for each student.
2. This tool can be done remotely, which is something to think about, especially during a
time like this.
3. If the premium version is available to you, you can make skills for students and it can
track the progress of the teacher's students.
Thinking about this tool and my future classroom, I think it would be a great tool for
grades three and up because there would be more evidence to include in this student portfolio. I
would use this tool for reflections as well as uploading students best work.
