Revista Peruana de Ciencias de la Salud es la publicación oficial del Vicerrectorado de Académico de la Universidad de
Huánuco, destinada a la difusión de conocimientos relacionados a educación, investigación, práctica médica, salud
pública y ciencias de la salud. Se edita en un volumen por año conformado por cuatro números con periodicidad
trimestral y es arbitrada por pares. Es distribuida tanto en versión impresa y difundida en formato electrónico, con
acceso gratuito a texto completo a través de su página http://revistas.udh.edu.pe/index.php/RPCS

uniformes para preparar los manuscritos que se presentan a las revistas biomédicas” del Comité Internacional de

la política editorial. La extensión máxima es de 1500
palabras y un mínimo de 5 referencias bibliográficas, los
más actuales posibles.
4.2 Artículo Original. Es un trabajo de investigación
inédito sobre una materia relacionada con el campo
científico, técnico, humanístico o ético de la medicina.
Debe tener la siguiente estructura: resumen, palabras
clave, introducción, materiales y métodos, resultados,
discusión, conclusiones y referencias bibliográficas. La
extensión máxima es de 250 palabras para el resumen,
3500 palabras para el contenido, 6 tablas o figuras, y 30
referencias bibliográficas.
Adicionalmente, tanto en el caso del artículo original
como el original breve, se debe tener en cuenta lo
siguiente.
Resumen/Abstract. Deberá estar estructurado de la
siguiente forma: los Objetivos del estudio (lo que se busca
determinar con el estudio), los Materiales y métodos
(diseño del estudio), Resultados (solo los principales) y
las Conclusiones más importantes. Si está redactado en
español deberá tener la respectiva traducción al inglés o
viceversa. La extensión máxima es de 250 palabras.
Palabras clave/Keywords. Debe proponerse un
mínimo de tres y un máximo de cinco, en español e
inglés. Deben emplearse los “descriptores en ciencias de
la salud” de BIREME (http://DeCS.bvs.br) y MeSH (https://
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh).
Introducción. Incluye la exposición breve del estado
actual del problema, antecedentes, y justificación del
estudio con su respectiva citación de la literatura, sin
hacer una revisión extensa del tema. No deberá incluir
datos ni conclusiones del trabajo realizado. Los objetivos
serán planteados en el último párrafo.
Métodos. Describe la metodología usada, de modo
que permita la reproducción del estudio y la evaluación
de la calidad de la información. Se describirá el tipo
y diseño de la investigación, las características de la
población y forma de selección de la muestra. Solo
detalle las técnicas nuevas y las modificaciones. Para las
técnicas conocidas, señale sólo la referencia bibliográfica.
Mencionar los procedimientos estadísticos empleados.
En todos los casos se usará la coma decimal.
Resultados. Presenta los resultados de forma clara,
sin incluir opiniones ni interpretaciones subjetivas. El uso
de tablas y figuras es para complementar la información;
limite el número al mínimo necesario. Las unidades de
medidas serán de acuerdo al Sistema Internacional de
Unidades. Las fotografías serán de la mejor resolución
posible.

Normas para los autores
Discusión. Se recomienda considerar los siguientes
aspectos: evidencias principales de su estudio, contraste
de las evidencias con otros estudios, fortalezas y
limitaciones, finalizando con las conclusiones y
recomendaciones. No repita los datos o información
ya presentados en las secciones de introducción y
resultados. Establezca el nexo de las conclusiones con
los objetivos de su estudio, pero absténgase de hacer
afirmaciones generales y extraer conclusiones que no
están respaldadas en su artículo.
Agradecimientos. Cuando corresponda, debe
mencionarse en forma específica a quién y por qué
tipo de colaboración en la investigación se realiza el
agradecimiento.
Referencias bibliográficas. Deberá tener las
referencias bibliográficas que fueron citadas previamente
en el contenido del artículo según las especificaciones
mencionadas en el ítem 3 de Aspectos Generales.
4.3 Original Breve. Es un trabajo de investigación
inédito y breve sobre un tema determinado. Puede ser
una investigación original preliminar o que no tiene la
trascendencia de un trabajo original. Tiene la misma
estructura de un artículo original. La extensión máxima
es de 150 palabras para el resumen, 2000 palabras
para el contenido, 4 figuras o tablas, y 20 referencias
bibliográficas.
4.4 Reporte de Casos. Es un caso médico de interés
diagnóstico, rareza de observación o evidente interés,
que amerite su publicación. Tiene la siguiente estructura:
Resumen y abstract no estructurado, Palabras clave y
keywords, Introducción, Reporte del caso, Discusión y
Referencias bibliográficas. La extensión máxima es de 150
palabras en el resumen, 1500 palabras en el contenido, 5
figuras o tablas y 20 referencias bibliográficas.
4.5 Artículo de Revisión. Es un artículo de revisión que
sintetiza, analiza, y actualiza un tema de ciencias de la
salud, incluyendo las evidencias científicas. El Comité
Editorial puede realizar invitaciones a expertos sobre
algún tema de interés para la redacción correspondiente.
Tiene la siguiente estructura: Resumen y abstract no
estructurado, Palabras clave y keywords, Introducción,
Metodología de búsqueda y Selección de resultados,
Desarrollo del tema, Conclusiones y Referencias
bibliográficas. La extensión máxima es de 250 palabras
en el resumen, 4000 palabras en el contenido, 5 figuras o
tablas, y 50 referencias bibliográficas.
4.6 Artículo Especial. Es un artículo que se encuentren
dentro de la política editorial de la Revista pero que no
se ajusten a las características de otras secciones. Incluye
ensayos, opiniones, sistematizaciones y experiencias que
sean de interés. Deben ser redactados según el siguiente

Referencias bibliográficas. La extensión máxima es de 150
palabras en el resumen, 2500 palabras en el contenido, 4
figuras o tablas, y 30 referencias bibliográficas.
4.7 Historia y Humanidades en Salud. Incluirá la
narración y exposición de acontecimientos pasados
relacionados a ciencias de la salud. Tiene la misma
estructura de un artículo especial. La extensión máxima
es de 150 palabras en el resumen, 2500 palabras en el
contenido, 3 figuras o tablas, y 25 referencias bibliográficas.
4.8 Carta al Editor. Es una comunicación dirigida
al Director de la Revista. Se aceptarán Cartas al
Editor que cumplan las siguientes consideraciones:
Cartas que hagan referencias a artículos publicados
preferentemente en los dos últimos números
(extensión máxima de 500 palabras, 1 figura o tabla,
y 6 referencias bibliográficas) o con aportes referidos
a investigaciones realizadas (extensión máxima
de 1000 palabras, 1 figura o tabla, y 10 referencias
bibliográficas).
III. ASPECTOS ÉTICOS
En las publicaciones científicas
La Revista Peruana de Ciencias de la Salud se ajusta
a los estándares de ética estipulado por el Comité
Internacional de Ética en las Publicaciones Científicas,
cuyas recomendaciones se encuentran en el Código de
Conducta y Directrices de Mejores Prácticas para Editores
de Revistas. Dicha información se encuentra disponible
en: http://publicationethics.org
La Revista Peruana de Ciencias de la Salud tiene una
política de detección de faltas éticas de publicación
como: plagio, autoría ficticia, cambios de autoría,
publicación redundante, manipulación de datos, y
conflicto de interés no revelado.
En caso se detecte alguna falta ética de publicación se
rechazará o retractará el artículo y se tomará las medidas
recomendadas por el Comité Internacional de Ética en las
Publicaciones Científicas que contempla la información
de la falta al autor, a los demás autores, a la institución
donde pertenece, a sus superiores, a la entidad fuente
del financiamiento, al comité de ética de su institución,
a otras revistas científicas y otras autoridades. Se utilizará
un software informático para fines de detección de faltas
éticas en publicación.
Investigaciones experimentales en humanos y
animales
Los artículos que describen experimentos realizados
en seres humanos, deben indicar si los procedimientos

seguidos estuvieron de acuerdo a las normas éticas del
Comité de Ética institucional o regional (debe contar con
la carta de aprobación del comité de ética de la institución
o ente autorizado), y a la Declaración de Helsinki. En
el Perú, las normas a seguir para la experimentación
en seres humanos, se encuentran establecidas en el
Reglamento de Ensayos Clínicos en el Perú (Decreto
Supremo N° 021-2017-SA).
No se deben mencionar los nombres de los pacientes
(Se debe garantizar el anonimato de los pacientes y/o
participantes en el artículo. Etc), sus iniciales, o número
de historia clínica, ni en general datos que permitan
identificar a los sujetos de estudio. Se deben enmascarar
las características reconocibles de las fotografías de
personas identificables.
Para la experimentación en animales, los autores
tendrán en consideración las normas internacionales
de uso de animales de experimentación, en particular
las recomendadas por la Office of Animal Care and
Use of National Institutes of Health (http://www.uss.cl/
wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Gui%CC%81a-para-el-
Cuidado-y-Uso-de-los-Animales-de-Laboratorio.pdf).
Dicha experimentación debe ser minuciosamente
detallada en la sección de materiales y métodos.
IV. CRITERIOS DE AUTORÍA
Contribución de Autoría
Los requisitos de autoría se basan en las recomendaciones
del Comité Internacional de Editores de Revistas Médicas
(ICMJE):
1. Contribuciones significativas a la concepción o
diseño del manuscrito, o a la recolección, análisis o
interpretación de los datos;
2. Redacción o revisión crítica importante del contenido
del manuscrito;
3. La aprobación final de la versión que se publicará, y
4. La asunción de la responsabilidad frente a todos
los aspectos del manuscrito, para garantizar que
los asuntos relativos a la exactitud o integridad de
cualquier parte del mismo serán adecuadamente
investigados y resueltos.
Todas las personas consignadas como autores deben
cumplir los criterios de autoría, y todas las que los
cumplen deben aparecer en la lista de autores.
Además, la ICMJE señala que solo la participación en
la consecución de fondos, en la recolección de datos o
en la supervisión general del grupo de investigación no
justifica la autoría y deben ser listados en la sección de
agradecimientos.

La lista de autores incluidos en la declaración jurada
de autoría será los únicos considerados dentro del
proceso editorial de la revista. No se aceptarán cambios
posteriores en el número ni en el orden de los autores.
Declaración de conflictos de interés
Los autores deben declarar cualquier relación personal
o comercial que pueda suponer parcialización y por
tanto un conflicto de interés en conexión con el artículo
remitido. Los conflictos de interés pueden ser directos o
indirectos, incluyendo interés financiero de los autores
por parte de la empresa que auspicia el estudio; así como
empleos, becas, pagos de viáticos, viajes, consultorías,
etc.
Anunciar las fuentes de apoyo financiero del estudio
no implica un conflicto de interés.
V. PROCESO EDITORIAL
Al inicio del proceso editorial, los artículos recibidos son
evaluados por el Comité Editorial de la revista. Algunos
artículos serán no aceptados de manera inmediata
si no se ajustan a la línea editorial y no cumplen los
requerimientos estipulados en las Instrucciones para
autores; todos los demás artículos se someten a revisión
por pares.
Revisión por pares
La revisión por pares garantiza la calidad, originalidad,
factibilidad y rigor científico de un artículo de
investigación. En tal sentido, es un proceso obligatorio
para todos los tipos de manuscritos recibidos por la
revista, a excepción de las editoriales.
Los artículos son evaluados por revisores con
experiencia y conocimiento sobre el tema al que se refiere
el artículo a evaluar, con la intención que su concepto
logre buen juicio y alta calidad para la publicación.
Los revisores seleccionados no reciben remuneración,
pero son mencionados en el último número de cada
volumen. También, se dispondrá de revisores expertos
en estadística y epidemiología.
Para la revisión por pares se convoca como mínimo
a dos revisores por artículo original (incluye original
breve) y uno para las otras secciones de la revista,
quienes de manera anónima y en un plazo de 15 días
calificarán los trabajos a solicitud del Comité Editorial
mediante un informe basado en la Ficha de Evaluación
proporcionada por la revista. El tipo de revisión es doble
ciego. Los revisores emiten su calificación y remiten
sugerencias y recomendaciones de para mejorar el
artículo.
Una vez recibida la calificación, sugerencias y
recomendaciones de los revisores, el Comité Editorial

Normas para los autores
decidirá lo siguiente: aprueba su publicación, no se
aprueba o se envían las observaciones que considere
pertinentes para ser absueltas por los autores. Estas
observaciones se envían al autor a quien se le da un
plazo de 20 días para enviar el artículo modificado.
Dependiendo del caso, el Comité Editorial podrá
volver a enviar el artículo corregido a un revisor antes
de considerar su publicación. No se aceptará de forma
definitiva ningún trabajo hasta que la totalidad de las
observaciones hayan sido aclaradas y/o modificadas.
Si las correcciones no fueron remitidas hasta un plazo
de dos meses, el artículo será dado de baja y pasará al
archivo, notificándole al autor esta decisión.
Durante el proceso de edición, la Revista Peruana
de Ciencias de la Salud se reserva el derecho de realizar
cambios o introducir modificaciones en el artículo en
aras de una mejor su comprensión, sin que ello conlleve
a cambios en su contenido.
El tiempo promedio del proceso editorial desde
la recepción del artículo hasta la decisión del Comité
Editorial varía entre dos y cuatro meses. El autor puede
solicitar información sobre los avances de la revisión del
artículo, así como la etapa del proceso editorial en la cual
se encuentra su artículo.
Prueba de imprenta
Es una etapa del proceso editorial posterior a la
diagramación y edición del artículo a publicarse. Se
enviará una prueba de imprenta al autor en formato
PDF. Se revisará cuidadosamente y se remitirán las
correcciones y/o aprobación del manuscrito, en un plazo
no mayor de 48 horas.
El Comité Editorial se reserva el derecho de admitir o
no las correcciones efectuadas por el autor en la prueba
de impresión. (ver esquema de proceso editorial)
VI. ASPECTOS GENERALES
Declaración de cesión de derechos de autor
Los autores que presenten artículos a la Revista Peruana de
Ciencias de la Salud, al momento de enviar la declaración
jurada de autoría y autorización para publicación
del artículo, ceden sus derechos patrimoniales a la
Universidad de Huánuco, para que esta divulgue el
artículo en las condiciones, procedimientos y medios
que disponga.
Como corresponde, la propiedad intelectual de los
artículos publicados en la Revista Peruana de Ciencias de
la Salud es exclusiva de los autores.
Descargo de responsabilidad
Las afirmaciones, juicios, y opiniones expresados en los
artículos publicados corresponden a los autores y no

The Peruvian journal of the academic vice-rector´s office of the University of Huánuco, aimed at the dissemination of
knowledge related to education, research, medical practice, public health and health sciences. It is published in one
volume per year consisting of four issues on a quarterly basis and is peer-reviewed. It is distributed both in print and

Articles submitted to the Peruvian journal of health
sciences must be unpublished, that is, they must not have
been published or be in the process of being published
in another journal. In addition, the article must not have
been submitted to other journals simultaneously.
Articles may be written in Spanish or English,
depending on the origin and/or preference of the authors.
Articles will be sent only in electronic format through
our e-mail: revpercienciasdelasalud@udh.edu.pe
The following documentation must be attached on a
mandatory basis:
1. The article written following the guidelines for
the presentation of articles detailed in these
instructions.
2. Affidavit respectively completed and signed
by the main author. This affidavit is available at
http://revistas.udh.edu.pe/index.php/rpcs
In order to start the editorial process of each article,
the submission of the duly signed affidavit is mandatory;
including the e-mail of the main author and co-authors, if
it is not fulfilled, the article will be returned to the author.
II. PRESENTATION OF ARTICLES
1. On the first page it will be written
a. Title of the article, with approximately 15 words,
no abbreviations should be used.
b. Identification of the authors: the way of
presentation of the names of the authors is their
responsibility.
c. Only one institutional and one academic affiliation
will be included per author, including city and country.
d. For the profession and academic degree; each
author should indicate his or her profession and
highest academic degree obtained.

2. Text formatting
Articles must be submitted in Spanish or English, in word
format, with a font size of no less than 10 on a4 sheet size,
single-spaced. Tables and figures should be included
after the bibliographic references in editable format.
3. Bibliographical references
Bibliographical references will refer exclusively to the text
of the work, will be ordered correlatively according to their
appearance and will be written in the Vancouver style of
writing in accordance with the icmje’s uniform requirements
for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals (https://
www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html).
If there are more than 6 authors, the first six should be
placed followed by et al. The use of reference managers is
recommended. Add the doi in those that have it.
4. Sections of the journal
Articles submitted to the Peruvian journal of health
sciences must belong to one of the following sections.
4.1 Editorial. These are presented at the request of
the journal´s director, or general director. Their content
may be oriented towards articles published in the same
issue of the journal or will deal with a topic of interest
according to the editorial policy. The maximum length
is 1500 words and a minimum of 5 bibliographical
references, the most current possible.

4.2 Original article. This is an unpublished research
work on a subject related to the scientific, technical,
humanistic or ethical field of medicine. It should have
the following structure: abstract, keywords, introduction,
materials and methods, result, discussion, conclusions
and bibliographical references.
The maximum length is 250 words for the abstract,
3500 words for the content, 6 tables or figures and 30
bibliographical references.
In addition, in the case of both the original article and
the short communication, the following must be taken
into account.
Abstract. It should be structured as follows: the aims
of the study (what the study aims to determine), the
materials and methods (study design), the results (only
the main ones) and the most important conclusions.
If it is written in Spanish, it should have the respective
translation into English or vice versa. The maximum
length is 250 words.
Keywords. A minimum of three and a maximum of five
should be proposed, in Spanish and English. “the health
science descriptors”should be used by bireme (http://decs.
brs.br ) and mesh (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh ).
Introduction. It includes a brief statement of
the current state of the problem, background and
justification of the study with its respective citation from
the literature, without making an extensive review of the
topic. It should not include data or conclusions of the
work done. The aims will be stated in the last paragraph.
Methods. It describes the methodology used, so as
to allow the reproduction of the study and the evaluation
of the quality of the information. It will describe the type
and design of the research, the characteristics of the
population and the way the sample is selected. Only
details new techniques and modifications. For known
techniques, gives only the bibliographical reference.
Mention the statistical procedures used. In all cases, the
decimal point will be used.
Results. It presents the results clearly, without
including opinions or subjective interpretations. The use
of tables and figures is to supplement the information;
limit the number to the minimum necessary. The units
of measurement will be according to the international
system of units. Photographs should be of the best
possible resolution.
Discussion. It is recommended to consider the
following aspects: main evidence of your study, contrast
of evidence with other studies, strengths and limitations,
ending with conclusions and recommendations. Do not
repeat the data or information already presented in the
introduction and results sections. Link the conclusions to

statements and drawing conclusions that are not
supported in your article.
Acknowledgements. Where appropriate, specific
mention should be made of who and for what type of
research collaboration the acknowledgement is made.
Bibliographical references. The bibliographical
references that were previously cited in the content
of the article should be included according to the
specifications mentioned in item 3 of general aspects.
4.3 short communications. This is an unpublished
and brief research paper on a given topic. It may be a
preliminary original investigation or it may not have the
significance of an original work. It has the same structure
as an original article. The maximum length is 150 words
for the abstract, 2000 words for the content, 4 figures or
tables and 20 bibliographical references.
4.4 case reports. It is a medical case of diagnostic
interest, observation rarity or evident interest that
deserves publication. It has the following structure:
summary and unstructured abstract, keywords,
introduction, case report, discussion and bibliographical
references. The maximum length is 150 words in the
abstract, 1500 words in the content, 5 figures or tables
and 20 bibliographical references.
4.5 review article. A review article synthesizes, analyzes
and updates a health science topic, including scientific
evidence. The editorial board may issue invitations
to experts on a topic of interest for the corresponding
editorial. It has the following structure; summary and
unstructured abstract, keywords, introduction, search
methodology and selection of results, development of
the topic, conclusions and bibliographical references.
The maximum length is 250 words in the abstract,
4000 words in the content, 5 figures or tables and 50
bibliographical references.
4.6 Special article. This is an article that is within
the editorial policy of the journal but does not fit the
characteristics of other sections. It includes essays,
opinions, systematizations and experiences that are
of interest. They should be written according to the
following scheme: summary and unstructured abstract,
keywords, introduction, development of the topic and
bibliographical references. The maximum length is 150
words in the abstract, 2500 words in the content, 4
figures or tables and 30 bibliographical references.
4.7 History and humanities in health. It will include
the narration and exposition of past events related to
health sciences. It has the same structure as a special
article. The maximum length is 150 words in the abstract,
2500 words in the content, 3 figures or tables and 25
bibliographical references.

4.8 Letter to the editor. This is a communication
addressed to the editor of the journal. Letters of the
editor will be accepted if they meet the following
considerations: letter referring to articles published
preferably in the last two issues (maximum length 500
words, 1 figure or table and 6 bibliographical references)
or with contributions referring to research carried out
(maximum length 1000 words, 1 figure or table and 10
bibliographical references)
III. ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
In the scientific publications
The Peruvian journal of health sciences conforms to
the standards of ethics stipulated by the international
committee on ethics in scientific publications, whose
recommendations are found in the code of conduct
and best practice guidelines for journal editor. This
information is available at http://publicationethics.org
The Peruvian journal of health sciences has a policy of
detecting publication´s ethical issues such as plagiarism,
fictitious authorship, changes of authorship, redundant
publication, manipulation of data and undisclosed
conflict of interest.
If any publication’s ethical issue is detected, the
article will be rejected or retracted and the recommended
measures by the international committee on ethics in
scientific publication will be taken, which will include
informing the author, other authors, the institution
where he or she belongs, his or her superiors, the funding
body, the ethics committee of his or her institution,
other scientific journals and other authorities of the
issue. Computer software will be used for the purpose of
detecting ethical issues in publication.
Experimental research on humans and animals
Articles describing experiments on human beings
must indicate whether the procedures followed
were in accordance with the ethical standards of the
institutional or regional ethics committee (must have
the letter of approval of the ethics committee of the
institution or authorized body) and the declaration
of Helsinki. In Peru, the rules to be followed for
experimentation on human beings are established in
the regulation of clinical trials in Peru (supreme decree
n° 021-2017-sa).
The names of the patients should not be mentioned
(the anonymity of the patients and/or participants in
the article should be guaranteed. Etc) their initials or
patient medical record number, nor in general any data
that would allow the identification of the study subject.
The recognizable characteristics of photographs of
identifiable persons should be masked.

For experiments on animals, the authors shall take
into consideration international standards for the use of
experimental animals, in particular those recommended
by the office of animal care and use of national

Such experimentation should be carefully detailed in
the materials and methods section.
IV. CRITERIA FOR AUTHORSHIP
Author´s contribution
Authorship requirements are based on the
recommendations of the international committee of
medical journal editors (icmje):
1. Significant contributions to the conception or design
of the manuscript, or to the collection, analysis or
interpretation of the data.
2. Writing or major critical review of the content of the
manuscript.
3. Final approval of the version to be published.
4. The assumption of responsibility for all aspects of the
manuscript, to ensure that issues relating to the accuracy
or completeness of any part of the manuscript will be
properly investigated and resolved.
All persons listed as authors must meet the criteria for
authorship, and all those who meet the criteria must
appear on the list of authors.
In addition, icmje notes that participating in
fundraising, data collection or general supervision of the
research group alone does not justify authorship and
should be listed in the acknowledgements section.
The list of authors included in the affidavit of
authorship will be the only ones considered within the
editorial process of the journal. No subsequent changes
in the number or order of authors will be accepted.
Declaration of conflicts of interest
Authors must declare any personal or commercial
relationship that may involve bias and therefore a conflict
of interest in connection with the submitted article.
Conflicts of interest may be direct or indirect including
the author’s financial interest in the company sponsoring
the study, as well as employment, scholarship, travel,
consulting, etc.
Advertising the sources of financial support for the
study does not imply a conflict of interest.
V. EDITORIAL PROCESS
At the beginning of the editorial process, the articles
received are evaluated by the journal’s editorial board.

Some articles will not be accepted immediately if they
do not conform to the editorial line and no dot meet the
requirements stipulated in the instructions to authors; all
other articles are submitted to peer review.
Peer review
Peer review guarantees the quality, originality, feasibility
and scientific rigor of a research article. In this sense, it is a
mandatory process for all types of manuscripts received
by the journal, with the exception of editorials.
The articles are evaluated by reviewers with
experience and knowledge of the subject matter of
the article to be evaluated, with the intention that their
concept achieves good judgement and high quality for
publication. Selected reviewers are not paid, but are
mentioned in the last issue of each volume. Also, expert
reviewers in statistics and epidemiology will be available.
For the peer review, a minimum of two reviewers
per original article (including a short communication)
and one for the other sections are invited, who will
anonymously and within a period of 15 days qualify the
papers at the request of the editorial board by means of
a report based on the evaluation form provided by the
journal. The type of review is double blind. The reviewers
issue their qualification and send suggestions and
recommendations to improve the article.
Once the rating, suggestions and recommendations
of the reviewers have been received, the editorial board
will decide the following: it approves the publication,
it does not approve it or it sends the observations it
considers relevant to be absolved by the authors. These
observations are sent to the author, who is given 20 days
to send the modified article.
Depending on the case, the editorial board may
resubmit the corrected article to a reviewer before it is
considered for publication. No work will be definitively
accepted until all the observations have been clarified
and/or modified.

within two months, the article will be removed from the
archive and the author will be notified of this decision.
During the editing process, the Peruvian journal of
health sciences reserves the right to make changes or
introduce modifications to the article in order to improve
its understanding, without this leading to changes in its
content.

board varies between two and four months. The author
can request information about the progress of the review
of the article, as well as the stage of the editorial process
in which his/her article is.
Proofreading
This is a stage in the editorial process following the
layout and editing of the article to be published. A proof
print will be sent to the author in pdf format. It will be
carefully reviewed and corrections and/or approval of
the manuscripts will be sent within 48 hours. The editorial
board reserves the right to admit or not the corrections
made by the author in the proof print.
VI. GENERAL ASPECTS
Declaration of assignment of copyright
The authors who submit articles to the Peruvian journal
of health sciences, at the time of sending the affidavit
of authorship and authorization for publication of the
article, assign their economic rights to the University of
Huánuco, so that it can disseminate the article under the
conditions, procedures and means it has.
As it corresponds, the intellectual property of the
articles published in the Peruvian journal of health
sciences is exclusive to the authors.

The statements, judgements and opinions expressed in
the published articles correspond to the authors and not
necessarily to the editorial board of Peruvian journal of
health sciences.
