Absentee Ballots for June Elections Now Available Due To COVID 19

ROCHESTER, New York – The Monroe County Board of Elections announces the availability for any registered
voter to request an Absentee Ballot for the June 23, 2020 Primary and Special Elections.

Simply go to https://www2.monroecounty.gov/elections-absentee.php to request an absentee ballot

electronically or download and mail in a paper application. Voters may check the “temporary illness or physical
disability” option as the reason for wanting to vote by absentee (mail) due to the COVID 19 panedmic.

This COVID 19 exemption is allowable under Executive Order 202.15 issued April 9, 2020 by Governor Andrew
Cuomo.

Absentee Ballot applications that are mailed in must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Applications
may be dropped off at the Monroe County Board of Elections through Monday, June 22, 2020.

Ballots will be sent out through the US Postal Service approximately 45-30 days prior to the election and voters
must postmark their completed ballots no later than Monday, June 22, 2020 and thy must be received by June
30, 2020.

Hand delivered ballots must be received on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 to be counted.
