Dissertation on employee engagement and employee retention

Employee engagement refers to a situation of a company or firm where all the employees are

satisfied and engaged in their own work while showing interest in the activities of the

organisation. Employee engagement is an important factor in the retention of employees in a

company. Employee retention refers to the employees staying at a firm for long time because a

satisfied employee would never think of living his job but would do all his work willingly and

productively. A dissertation is done to propose the purpose of a answering to all the questions of

the research.

Employee engagement can lead to employee retention in an organisation so prime focus should

be given to employee engagement by a company or firm

Employee engagement can be improved in a firm by following ways:

 Recognition of the hardworking employees

 Approach of the organisation toward employee retention

 Holding the engagement board

 Focus on the engagement group by the companies

 Training for promoting the managers and administration employee engagement


 Promoting the communication among the employees and the staff to reduce any

communication gap.

 Promoting team work to engage all the employees in an healthy and efficient manner

 Bonus can be a retention factor for various employees hence efficient and regular bonus

schemes should be implemented.

Dissertation

As a form of evaluation, a final year project or dissertation differs from the other module

evaluations. The idea is that student, the learner, should accept responsibility for their own

research and learning and create a summary of the literature, choose a technique to conduct a

test, write down the conclusions and discuss the results in a discussion section.
