INTRODUCTION

In our time with the growing wave of technological advances, companies in


Colombia and the world face different technological challenges, as well as the use
of digital tools at our disposal to improve the production, administrative, financial
and commercial processes of a company.

Through the development of this work, we seek to study the problem of how to
promote digital transformation in Colombian medium-sized companies, their
causes and the effects on companies, the lack of interest and investment in new
digital tools, which are what led to the cuspide of the profitability to the companies.
OBJECTIVES

Overall objective

The student analyzes the importance of intellectual property rights protection,


as a differentiating factor to stand out in the competitive markets.

Specific objectives

 Investigate the causes and effects of the lack of interest and investment
in technological innovation in companies
 Relate the causes of the problem and its effects on Colombian
companies.
How to promote digital transformation in
Colombian enterprises?

Problem description
In Colombia According to Dinero Magazine in its
publication of November 27, 2018, medium-sized
companies face several digital challenges.
According to its statistics, 58% of companies do not
have trained personnel to carry out ICT work, 12%
do not use any digital tool, 39% express the need to

have staff with knowledge in digital marketing, 33%


of the companies affirms that the main use of their
digital tools focuses on the promotion of their
products and services, 39% affirm that their main
digital tool is social networks and 30% web pages
and finally 33% of companies They do not have any
systematized process.

CONCLUSIONS

 I conclude that all these points seen are very necessary for companies
because they protect brands, creating a more special bond with consumers.

 When researching medium-sized companies in Colombia, we can see that


there is not much interest in digital transformation, either because there is a
certain level of conformity with the current situation, because they do not
want to invest in that topic or because they do so. Without knowing it, what
general losses and sales do not venture into new markets, we can
contribute to change the mindset of entrepreneurs, through talks about the
importance and benefits for their companies, and begin to digitally transform
their businesses.
