Learning Intention:
● I can use dialogue, descriptive details, show a clear sequence of events, and use the Minecraft platform in order to write a
narrative.

Lesson Launch:
● Demonstration of the use of the world builder and narrative tools in Minecraft
Activities:
● Narrative from the Minecraft World Student Directions
○ This lesson thrives off of student independence. After the launch and discussion, students are guiding themselves
and working as teams to develop narratives and the teacher is acting as the coach. Students have built a solid
understanding of independent learning throughout the beginning of the year in order to be at this point in their
learning.
Formative Assessment:
● Observations of group learning and collaboration
● Anecdotal notes
● Minecraft creations
● Narratives
*observations, notes, and Minecraft creations/narratives will help determine the course of the following narrative lessons and will
also help teacher to evaluate where students are at in their learning/who needs pulled for small group reinforcement
