FCO 518-04433A: Installing the Wash Replenish Pump

Internal document number: 719-01261B Rev A

Product FCO priority

 Kodak® T 1250 plate processor As required
 Kodak T 860 plate processor

Component Wash replenish pump

Background
In some areas the quality of the processed plate is compromised due to the cleanness/hardness of the
water received directly from the public water supply system.

Solution
By installing the Wash replenish pump, good quality water can be used to fill and replenish the wash tank.
This kit is suitable for installing on processors that have both metal and non-metal valves in the water
distribution system.

Installing the Wash Replenish Pump

This section describes how to install the wash replenish pump. Note that there are different procedures for
installing the wash replenish pump on machines with metal and with non-metal valves.

Fitting the Wash replenish pump to the processor chassis

1. Install the pump assembly horizontally on the top of the chassis’ bottom middle beam. The pump
should be installed on the beam in the middle of the processor.

4. Insert the connectors to the electrical connector’s box, close the box’s cover.
5. Secure the pump wire using the supplied cable ties.

Filling the Wash tank

1. Make sure that the wash section drain valve is closed.

2. Insert the wash replenish pump inlet hose to a container with clean water.
3. Turn the processor On, and press the green start button.
4. The Water Fill screen appears automatically, if not, access it from the Home screen as follows:

6. On the WATER FILL screen, touch RUN.

Figure 15: Water Fill screen

7. When the Water Low sensor turns ON, open the wash filter inlet and outlet valves.
8. On the WATER FILL screen, touch RUN.
Note: Due to the low rate of the replenish pump, the Water Fill procedure may time out before the Wash
section is full. When this happens, touch RUN to continue. It may be necessary to repeat this process a
number of times until both the Low and High Sensors are ON.

Calibrating the wash-water replenish rate

To calibrate the wash-water replenish rate, refer to the section Calibrating the wash-water replenishing rate
in the T 860 and T 1250 Plate Processor Operator Guide that can be located on the Reference page in
TechPlanet.
