LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Understand a variety of texts by sharing two main point/specific details based on
the reading text.
2. Explain and justify at least two points of view by responding accordingly to the
questions given
SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils will be able to:
1. Write at least 5 out of 8 meaning for new vocabulary individually.
2. Present at least 2 main points of their group segments.
3. Answer 4 out of 7 questions in their respective groups.
4. Respond accordingly and at least 1 out of 2 negative comments of social networking
sites individually.

ELEMENTS
ACTIVITIES: : 1. Pupils are asked to guess the topic for the lesson.
PRE-LESSON 2. Pupils are asked several questions about social networking sites.
(5 mins) 3. Pupils discusses together with the teacher about their own social networking
sites.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT : ACTIVITY 1: Individual (Vocabulary) (15 minutes)
1. Teacher reveals 8 new words to pupils.
2. Pupils discuss the meaning of the words together with the teacher.
3. Pupils need to complete the vocabulary exercises with the correct
meanings.
4. Pupils discuss the correct answer for the exercises together with teacher
and teacher praises for pupils effort.

ACTIVITY 2: Group (Reading) (20 minutes)


1. Teacher gives instruction for the next activity.
2. Pupils need to read the segments in page 8, textbook group by group.
3. Each group will take turn to read the segments.
4. In their respective group, pupils required to take notes of the main
points in the segments.
5. Teacher will pick randomly 3 groups to present their main point to the
class.
6. Pupils are asked to copy the exercises in section D in page 9, textbook
and answer it together in their respective group.
7. Then, teacher discusses the correct answer together with the pupils.

ACTIVITY 3: Group (Speaking) (15 minutes)


1. Teacher asks several questions to pupils.
2. Teacher picks randomly several pupils to answer the questions.
3. Pupils reply to teacher’s questions.
POST LESSON : Individual: (5 minutes)
1.Pupils are asked to give their own negative comment about the social
networking sites and at least 1 negative comment for less proficiency
students and 2 negative comment for high proficiency students
