The Hingge Attachmeent can be ussed to decoraate platter rims, box lids and many oother turninggs. 
 
We can supply all the parts or just the parts  you need as it is a simple e jig to makee. The blockss I have 
made fro om nylon bu ut MDF, Ply W Wood are suiitable. 
 
The longg tube is aboout 430mm lo ong and I useed stainless ssteel tube ass I had some  in stock butt any 
other tu
ube or bar around this sizze could be uused (16mm 5/8”) The tu ube needs to 
o be fixed at eeach end 
with glue, clamp screw or a pin. 15mm copp er tube wou uld be suitablle.  The holess in the blocks that 
are screwwed to the Jig need to be a slide fit oon the selectted tube. 
 
The deppth stop was added on th he hinge as soome work m may require a graduated fflute instead of 
controlliing the depth of cut with h the guide bbush around the cutter it will be set bby the stop. 
The hingge assembly is clamped tto a base boaard fixed to tthe bed of th he lathe, adjuusting the he
eight and 
horizonttal position oof the assembly will give  you an almo ost unlimited d range of paatterns. 
 
Bolts to mount the b blocks come from Screwffix  M6 x 50m mm 78664
