22CALL TO ORDER:
23 The Brgy. Assembly was called to order at around 4:20 o’clock in the afternoon; Ms.
24Rosenie Malibago led the prayer followed by singing the Pambansang Awit led by Hon. Kicie
25Batica.

27ROLL CALL:
28 The Brgy. Secretary called the roll and showed that there was no absent.
29Chairman/Presiding Officer declared a quorum there since member of the council were
30present.

31READING OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES:


32 Hon. Davis Soliot moved for the dispensation of the reading of the minutes of the
33previous regular session duly seconded by Hon. Al Anthony Odinada.

35BUSINESS OF THE DAY:
36 Chairman/Presiding Officer informed the assembly about the resolutions that were
37submitted specifically the request to the Basaynon Katig-uban, Inc. (Metro Manila) through its
38president, Mr. Stephen H. Carrido to donate medical kit; requesting fifty (50) bags of cement
39from honorable Sharee Ann Tan-Delos Santos, Governor, Province Of Samar, to be utilized
40on the road patching; and requesting the Municipal Mayor, Honorable Igmedio Junjie
41Ponferrada to give us twenty (20) pieces of Solar Lights for street lightings of the barangay
42roads. Chairman also added that he is hoping that it will be granted within the year of 2018.
43Then, the council proceeded to the Committee Reports:
44 A. Hon. Edgar Galanza, Chairman-Committee on Agriculture, made his report. He said
45 that under his committee, he already went to the Department of Agriculture and was
46 advised that our barangay is not qualified since they are asking for a land area where
47 we can put up in any form of agriculture, but we can still make a request if we owned a
48 land in other barangay.
49 B. Hon. Felix Bergantiños, Chairman-Committee on Peace and Order, made his report
50 regarding the peace and order situation of the barangay and that he ensures that the
51 tanods will report on their duty and to conduct roving around the barangay to prevent
52 crime in the barangay.
53 C. Hon. Davis Soliot, Chairman-Committee on Education, said that this committee
54 focused in the education of our children in the day care center by giving assistance in
55 terms of school supplies of the day care children. He also added the Barangay
56 Scholarship Program, Lorenze Padoc as the beneficiary and will be receiving an
57 amount of Php8, 000.00 every fiscal year; the fund will be taken from the SK Fund.
58 Also, in cases of emergency, especially those who have asthma, low/high blood and
59 those who need first aid can just borrow the medical equipments that were donated by
60 anonymous.
61 D. Hon. Tesoro Adona, Chairman-Committee on Health and Sanitation, made his report.
62 He said that under his committee, the council is participating during Pintakasi by
63 cleaning the drainage and canals. Hon. Adona asked for the help in every house to at
64 least maintain and sustain the sanitary of their surroundings to prevent any illness and
65 the goodness of everyone and the whole barangay.
66 E. Hon. Claire Yanto, Chairman-Committee on Rules and Regulations, she said that
67 under her committee, it is the center of all committees that commands
68 F. Hon. Al Anthony Odinada, Chairman-Committee on Infrastructure, he mentioned that
69 that under his committee it is more of the Baragay Projects and sustainable
70 Development. Also, said that this committee had an accomplishment recently
71 regarding to water supply through purchasing jetmatic pumps and said that it has been
72 installed to prospect areas. Electric supplies specifically bulb and wires are also
73 available for borrowing and installment in every prospect areas. The declogging was
74 also been brought up and informed the assembly that there will be a second phase for
75 drainage. Installing of Wi-Fi as an additional income of the barangay was also
76 mentioned. He also added in giving thanks to Mr. Gabriel Sumampong for donating a
77 refrigerator for the Barangay.
78 G. Hon. Ismael Raquel, Committee Report on Finance, prepares and made her report
79 regarding the Brgy. Budget, together with the Brgy. Treasurer. The Barangay
80 Treasurer reported the total budget of the barangay for Fiscal Year 2018 and explains
81 to the assembly the details from which the budget is taken, from the Internal Revenue
82 Allotment (IRA) and other sources of income.

84OPEN FORUM:
85 During the Open Forum, there’s only one question that was asked to Hon. Ismael
86Raquel regarding the Labor and Services on why it comes up in an amount of Php30,000.00.
87Hon. Noel Labnao, takes over to answer the question and said that our Brgy. Treasurer has
88the liquidation on the said transaction.

90OPEN SUGGESTIONS:
91  Ms. Marissa Dela Cueva – suggested having a clearer and visible visual aid on
92 reporting the budget. The suggestion was noted by the Committee on Finance
93 and the Brgy. Treasurer.
94  Mrs. Anie Alonzo – asked for any alternative way to disseminate the
95 announcement from the barangay since some of the Publice Address System is
96 no longer working. Chairman informed the assembly that the council is already
97 working on it.
98  Mrs. Vic Jadloc – suggested to the Committee on Health and Sanitation to
99 distribute or provide a trash can each house. Hon. Tito Adona mentioned that it
100 needs to be discussed first with the council during the regular session.
101  Mr. Alexis Bandoy – suggested making a project in reconstructing a drainage
102 canal from Basey 1 Elemtary School down the Basey Municipal Executive
103 Building. Hon. Noel Labnao said that he will coordinate with the Municipal SB
104 Members regarding with the Comprehensive Drainage Canal.
105  Mrs. Anicia Labnao – asked on what are the bases to qualify a scholar of the
106 barangay. Hon. Davis Soliot said that we made a memorandum to the scholar
107 (Lorenze Padoc) containing that he/she should cooperate in all barangay
108 activities and also added that the said scholar its maintaining grades.

110ADJOURNMENT:
111 There having no more business to discuss, Hon. Tesoro Adona moved for the
112adjournment of the session duly seconded by Hon. Davis Soliot. Chairman/Presiding Officer
113declared the session adjourned at around 5:50 o’clock in afternoon.
