Second NC setup with the Software

Load Tool

Loading software in the user interface without the Software Load

tool is not reliable. The procedure must, in some cases, be
repeated several times.
To assure process reliability, the Software Load Tool, which
performs its function with the user interface deactivated, has been
available since summer of 2001. The Software Load Tool is
available for Win 3.11 and Win NT.

Indications of a faulty x The NCK memory is empty: GUD files are missing.
NCU memory x The PLC memory is empty: All LED's of the MSTT are blinking.
x The PLC memory area is corrupt:
– The PS LED blinks and the PF LED is on.
– All LED's on the right side of the NCU are blinking.

Condition
x The mechanical and electrical assembly of the equipment has
been fully completed.
x The equipment is ready to be powered ON for the first time; the
axes can be moved.

New system setup (overview) 1. Scrubbing the NCK and PLC.

2. Loading the machine data from the MMC hard drive to the
NCK.
3. Loading the PLC program from the MMC hard drive to the
PLC.
4. Activation of PLC configuration data.
