Indications of a faulty x The NCK memory is empty: GUD files are missing.
NCU memory x The PLC memory is empty: All LED's of the MSTT are blinking.
x The PLC memory area is corrupt:
– The PS LED blinks and the PF LED is on.
– All LED's on the right side of the NCU are blinking.
Condition
x The mechanical and electrical assembly of the equipment has
been fully completed.
x The equipment is ready to be powered ON for the first time; the
axes can be moved.
Note:
Prior to scrubbing the NCK, be sure to remove the active tool from
the punching head!
Condition
x The NCK setup switch S3 (rotary switch) is set position "0"
(basic setting).
Note:
Prior to scrubbing the PLC, be sure to remove the active tool from
the punching head!
The sequence of operations is especially important when
scrubbing the PLC. The LED status is secondary.
Condition
x The PLC setup switch S4 (rotary switch) is set position "0"
(basic setting).
Note:
The following description is also valid for Windows 3.11, if the
Software Load Tool is included.
Starting the loading process 1. Press the Service on softkey to prevent the user interface from
(Win NT) starting.
2. Enter the service password.
3. Switch to the Update group.

Starting the loading process 1. Press <SHIFT> before Windows starts to suppress the start of
(Win 3.11) the user interface.
2. Open the TCO-MMC program group.
3. Open the servers NCDDE, Long tool, Alarm Server and DH
server with a double click.
4. Open the Service Tools program group.
5. Start the Software Load variant.

9. Select OK.
10. Wait until loading is completed.
11. Press the Previous softkey <F9> to exit Load PLC.
12. Press the End program softkey <F9> to exit the Software Load
Tool.
13. Turn the machine OFF and then ON again.
