Subject Important info when installing BF-1(A) – Booklet Folding Unit
Model DF-610
(Affected Models: DF- 610: KM- 4530/5530, KM- 6330/7530, KM-C2630/C2630D, FS- C8026N)

Note: DF- 600 is not affected since it is not possible to install the booklet folding unit.

To support KM-6030/8030, the existing booklet folding unit, BF-1, has been changed. Therefore the product name
of BF-1 has been changed to BF-1(A).

When installing the BF-1(A) to the DF-610, a mismatch error might occur. Therefore please upgrade the
firmware of the finisher as follows:

Remarks
When the booklet folding unit BF-1(A) is installed to the existing
DF-610, there is a possibility that C8300 (Center folding unit
communication problem) might occur when pulling out or putting in
BF-1 (A) to remove jammed paper etc..
[The condition of occurrence]
Open the front cover of DF-610 and release (pull out) BF-1 (A).
Then close the front cover of the DF610. After that, turn off and on
the main switch of machine. Under this condition, if BF-1 (A) is
inserted back in to DF-610, C8300 might occur.

In addition to the firmware upgrade, a caution leaflet is supplied with BF-1(A).

When installing BF-1(A) to DF-610, please execute the maintenance mode U019 or print the status page to
check if the finisher software version is "3B82952AM" (Ver.2100) and after. (For details, please refer to the
attached leaflet.)

Field Measure: When installing BF-1(A) to DF-610, please execute maintenance mode U019 or print
the status page to check if the finisher software version is "3B82952AM" (Ver.2100)
and after. If the version is older than the above, please upgrade to the latest
firmware version.
