Philosophy of Health

The philosophical school that I would endorse would be pragmatism. Pragmatism,


because this would assess the true meaning of theories of beliefs in terms of the success of their
practical applications. Ultimately, dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a practical
way.

My philosophy of life is understanding that there will be obstacles, but the goal is to
prosper from those obstacles even if they are positive or negative. We essentially need to grow
and learn from those things that interfere with our daily lives. What is most important in my life,
is staying conscious of my well-being. Staying true to myself, and believing in myself is what I
value. One thing that I value the most is self-motivation. I pray every night, and wake up every
morning praying for better health, self-esteem, and life. Some ideals that I hold are embodying a
conception or conforming to a standard to those who are role models to me, those who have
positively influenced my life. The answers to the above questions influences the way I believe
and act on a daily basis by reminding myself that I am prospering everyday. This ideally helps
me get through negative, or tough obstacles.

The purpose of life is to remain grateful and thankful for your everyday life, because
everyday is not promised. We have to perceive the fact that all lives matter and to always stay
gracious.

My philosophy of health is understanding the effects of what our bodies go through,


whether that is physically, emotionally, socially or spiritually. Creating my own definition of
health, I would clarify that health is staying conscious of your mind and bodily functions and
how it affects you, good or bad. The dimensions of wellness visualizes health to form a healthy
person. For instance, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, emotional, and social are all
measures of wellness that a person can develop to achieve optimal health and minimize illness.
The continuum of wellness focuses mainly on the dimensions of health a person has obtained to
the maximum of their ability leading to optimum wellness. My own definition of Health
Education is simply different aspects of learning about health in a wide range. The purpose of
health is to observe healthy behaviors that have an impact in your life.

My personal philosophy of health education is understanding the meaning of health and


the different features that it adheres by. For instance, my own would be the behavior change
philosophy, entering more in-depth of the social change philosophy because these two compare
to each other. Health Education is a combination of planned learning experiences; what an
individual does to monitor healthy behaviors. Benefits of health education could result in a
higher learning of becoming a health educator speaking about health promotion. Some
limitations of health education could be barriers that cause a limit. For example, lack of research
studies, culturally, and economy(fiscal) wise. Some responsibilities that a health educator would
have, could be teaching varieties of health behaviors and promoting the six dimensions of health
wellness. We would know when the goals/objectives have been achieved in health education
when there is a stimulating positive growth in the different aspects of health promotion,
preventions, and the domains of health as a whole.

The purpose of health education is to learn and eventually teach others about how to
monitor better healthy behaviors in order to live a healthy lifestyle. A person's health is educated
when he or she can provide evidence-based solutions to enhance preventive services, health
protection and health promotion to insure wellness.
