Every single one of us wants to live a happy and fulfilled life. A life full of meaning,
joy, triumphs, family and friends around. We feel happy when what we do matters,
when we develop deep connections with the people around us.
This useful worksheet aims to help you better understand yourself. Pause for a
moment. Try to answer a few simple questions: “What do I want from my life? Who
do I want to be? Where do I want to go?”.
These simple questions are hard, that’s why this framework will help you find
answers, set priorities and make an action plan on how to achieve your goals.
I believe that knowing what you want will help you achieve it, or at least move in the
right direction. For the last 4 years I’ve been conducting research on goal setting,
productivity, efficiency, energy and time management. I modified and improved
existing framework with the knowledge and experience we have.
I believe that productivity happens when you organize your thoughts, actions and
creativity into a single coherent and efficient system. Tools and apps should help us
win back time, so we can work less, focus on what matters and spend more time
with our loved ones.
I’ve shared this framework with over 1,000,000 Readdle users over the past years
and we’ve received a phenomenal response.
My hobby and initiative grew into something bigger, it partially defines who I am,
and what I want to do in life. Living a fulfilled life and helping others do the same is
my mission. This is why it’s time to give this project it’s own home and nurture its
growth.
Denys Zhadanov
How to use this worksheet
There’s research that says the majority of people drop their New Year resolutions on
day 12. In 2019, I only completed 65% of my goals. I spent a few weeks in December
reflecting on why that is and what could be done to reach my goals in 2020.
Filling out this worksheet requires time and effort. But hey, we are defining our
lives here, so I think this is one of the best investments that you can make.
It’s OK if you won’t be able to fill it out in one day (it usually takes two weeks for me).
7. Start small
Ambitious and big goals might scare us away. That’s why I’ve incorporated the First
Steps section for each life area, where we can write down little steps to help us get
started.
9. Reward yourself
Don’t forget to treat yourself. You are making an effort to grow and evolve. So take
a step back, reflect, write down things you are grateful for and wake up with a smile.
Buy yourself a cookie, go on vacation, celebrate wins with friends.
I hope that you will find this framework useful. It would be great to hear your feed-
back, ideas, and thoughts. But most importantly, do what matters and live a happy
life, we will do our best to support you.
Structure
This interactive structure will help you navigate faster through the worksheet every
time you come back to either add something, or to track your progress and reflect.

Timeline of main events in 2019
Let’s try to remember the main events that happened each month.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Alice: Which way should I go?
Cat: That depends on where you are going.
Alice: I don't know.
Cat: Then it doesn't matter which way you go.
What is your mission in life? Where are you going? What do you want to achieve?
Once you answer those questions, the path towards those things will be much
easier. So here, I’ll help you think about the most high level things in life.
This will be your go to page in the moments of doubt, hesitation or burn out.
Vision
The state of the world that you hope to see when your work is done
For example, the vision of SpaceX is to occupy Mars. For someone, it could
be raising amazing kids or anything that you want it to be.
Principles
They are permanent and unchanging. Principles work like a compass that helps you
evaluate any opportunity or situation. They can ultimately drive your values and goals.
For example, your principles can include fairness, integrity, and honesty.
Values
Beliefs and opinions you hold regarding specific issues or ideas. Values are internal
and subjective. Unlike principles, values may change over time. If a given belief or
opinion is something that might be altered if the conditions are right, then it’s a value.
I will provide my personal examples for the first category to give you a better idea
on how I fill it out.

Visualize
It’s no secret that the power of visualization is unprecedented. Let’s sit down and
try to dream of a life that you would love to live.
Dream it. Live it in your imagination and be bold. Be specific, describe actions,
feelings and emotions.
The first 20 are easy, since many of them might be material and socially related.
The most interesting starts after number 30 or 40, when you become really cre-
ative and think hard about what really matters to you.
In the end, the biggest gift you have is life itself and the experiences you get each
and every day.
Make sure you enjoy the journey and the process itself.
Come back to this worksheet every month to check your progress and reflect on
what you’ve accomplished. This will help you stay focused on your goals through-
out the year.
