FORCE AND MOTION
Def:
A force is push are pull upon an object resulting from the obejects interaction with another
object.Whenever there is an Attraction between , there is a force upon each of the object
when attaraction causes, the two objects no longer experince the force.force only exist as a
result of an attraction.all forces interaction between objects can be placed into two broad
catageries.
:Contact force
:Action-at-a-distance force
:Contact Force: Those type of forces that result when the two interacting objects
perceived to be physically contacting each other.
Example:
1.fricational force
2.tension force
3.normal force
5.applied force
6.spring force.
Action-at-a-Distance forces:Those types of forces that results even when the two
interacting objects are not in physically contact with each other, yet are able to exert a push are
pull despite their physical sepration.
Example:
1.Garvitional force
2.Electromagnetic force
3.Nucler force
Blance Force:Forces that are equal in size but opposite in direction are called blanced
forces.blanced forces donot cause a change in the motion of objects.
Unblanced Forces:Forces that cause a change in motion of objects are called unblanced
forces.Unblanced forces can change the moytion of an objects in Two ways .
Rest:When an objects does not change in position with respect to a reference point with
elapse of time, the objects with said to be in rest.
Motion:If an object change in position with respect to a reference point with elapse of time
,the object is said to be a in motion. In simple words, whenever a body is moving,we say it is in
motion.
Uniform Motion:When a body moves equal distance in equal intervals of time then the
body is said to be in uniform motion.
Relationship between Force and Motion:Force and motion are deeply related in
nature. We can say that force is the cause of motion.suppose something is moving ,we can say
that some force must be acting on it or some force must have acted on it which produce ythis
motion. If a person is walking and hence in motion there is must be some force acting on it
which is making him moved this forced is called musclar force of his body.tyciplly, motion can
either be discribe as:
Or
Change in direction
Force can cause a body to decelerate:On the others side of the spectrum,if force is
applied on the opposited direction of a moving object,it will decelerate are slow down and
eventual all to gether if the force is contunied to be applied.
FRICTION:
To stop a moving object ,a force must act the opposit direction to the
direction of motion.
For instance, if you push your book across your desk, the book will
move. The force of the push moves the book. As the book slides across
the desk, it slow down and stops moving .The force that opposes the
motion of Friction.
