The circular entrance of each ant colony is under constant surveillance by special guards, whose heads are
modified into plug-like shapes to fit the entrance. Screening of members, who belong and wish to enter, is done
by a special unique movement of the antenna. Understanding the highly skilled nature of the job, guard ants are
not used for anything else, and each guard is relieved after several hours by another.
