We do our utmost to fully satisfy or

When it comes to our highly specialised production
methods we should probably rather abandon our
Swabian modesty. Foam rotation, logo-inmould
and sandwich rotation are not every manufacturer’s
cup of tea. They are definitely ours though.

No question: nowadays almost
any advertising brochure uses the
term »tradition and innovation«.
The example of Speidel, however,
shows that real experience and the
tradition of 100 years in container
construction do count. As regards
the latest manufacturing methods,
we are indeed hard to beat.
Our fermentation egg with double-
wall layer, for example, is manu-
factured in only one work step by
means of the so-called sandwich
rotation method. Thanks to its par-
ticularly smooth surface, the inner
layer is ideally suited for the fer-
mentation process of wine and beer.
The logo and labels were moulded
directly onto the egg by means of
the logo-inmould-method.
You see: as for new technologies we
are usually ahead by a nose. In ad-
vertising, this is often called »lead-
ership in innovation«. Yet, we do not
think it is set phrases that count.
Nor will we sing the praises of our
»highly motivated team«, though
we would have good reasons to do
so. We would, however, be pleased
to show you our plant in case you
wanted to meet us in person. Yet,
what we wish and work even more
for is for our products to bear wit-
ness to our excellence. What we are
is what we produce. Therefore, we
would love to be challenged by you

Our machinery in operation deserves serious
attention: with a rotation diameter of 3,6 metres
we are able to manufacture containers up
to about 3 metres in length and with a capacity
of 10.000 litres. Smaller parts are produced
on our other three devices.

Production
Since the 1990s we have been
using the rotation method for the
construction of PE-containers and
individual technical components
for agriculture, for the utilisation of
rainwater, for municipal services
and for industrial enterprises. In
the meantime we are producing
individual parts of all sizes up to
10.000 litres on our four rotation
devices. Our production possibilities
also include a PU foam system and
a machining robot.
Container construction
Our long-time expertise has be-
come second nature to us. Whether
it is about water, brine, UAN, food
or beverages, we know exactly what
matters in container construction.
Materials
Predominantly, we use polyethylene
with varying melt flow indexes and
different flow properties. The ma-
terial can be coloured individually.
Polyethylene is particularly impact-
resistant as well as resis­tant to
many substances and chemicals.
In order to obtain higher stiffness
and temperature resistance, we
increasingly use poly­propylene.
Yet, as regards rotation, there are
other special materials at hand too.
SHAPES
The rotation shapes are made of
steel plate or cast aluminium. The
answer to the question which one is
to be used depends on the surface
quality of the individual compo-
nents as well as the preciseness
requested by the client. The invest-
ment costs for this kind of shapes,
compared to blow moulding and
injection die moulding shapes, are
profitable also in case of a rather
low annual requirement of 200 to
2.000 pieces.

The material of the containers can be coloured individually.
Technical details
Even complex shapes can be
produced easily. The installation
of screw sockets or rings as well
as the moulding of screw sockets,
hinges and handles are common
construction solutions. They in-
crease the product’s efficiency
and help avoid subsequent
installation costs.

Lot sizes
The use of the rotation method
permits to produce even smaller
quantities and lot sizes. In case of
individual components and contain-
ers up to 1.000 litres, we recom-
mend lot sizes between 50 and 100
at an annual requirement between
200 to 2.000 components. If the
individual components hold volumes
between 1.000 and 10.000 litres,
lot sizes from 30 to 50 components
at an annual requirement of 100 to
1.000 are possible.
